Norwich Lake: Norwich Lake is large enough to allow motorboats, but never feels crowded. If you look at the lake on Google Earth, we are located on the Northwest side. Camp Norwich, a YMCA day camp, occupies the North end of the lake and owns much of the land along the Northeast side. It is largely undeveloped. Weekends at the lake are busier than weekdays. Early mornings are beautiful. Many people that live at the lake commute to jobs in the surrounding communities. There are only a few rentals on the lake. If you want to get away from the lake for dinner, a movie, spa services, or to see live shows, Northampton is 15 miles away and Tanglewood is less than an hour.
