South Dartmouth Vacation Rental house

I had the good fortune to rent this property for ten days. I was in town for business and the rate was comparable to a nearby hotel. What was a business trip turned into a real pleasure vacation thanks to this property and the wonderful owner. I was a bit nervous renting a home online with out having any personal recommendations. I am so glad I took the chance. The owner made me feel comfortable immediately. She was incredibly friendly, gracious and accomodating. I was able to bring my dogs with me. She truly welcomed all of us as though we were old friends. The house was very clean, well decorated and comfortable. The owner included so many ammenities I hesitate to mention becasue perhaps she will not be able to provide in the future. She provided fresh flowers and some incredible fresh, organic vegetables. My first night, she provided a lovely dinner of homemade lasagne. Through our conversations, she knew I liked to take my dogs hiking. She took the time to take me to the nearby dog friendly beach, not only to show me where it was but to go for a hike with us. She also took me to nearby woods with fantastic hiking trails. She made certain I knew where everything was and provided me with a contact number in case I needed to reach her for anything. The owner is an avid polo player and happened to have horses on her property during my stay. I was so surprised and grateful when she offered to take me on a trail ride. She took me on a fantastic trail ride. She is a real people person and animal person. One day I was out on business all day and she offered and was able to let my dogs out. She struck a lovely balance of making herself available but also providing me total privacy. She provided information for a very nice nearby health club with great hours, an indoor pool and reasonable rates. There are some very good restaurants near the house. There was one I particularly loved that had a very healthy menu with a large selection. There were a lot of shopping centers nearby. Some great deals at a store called Tuesday Morning. I also left something at the property and the owner so graciously and immediately shipped it to me. I would and have recommended this property to friends and family. I hope to return with my husband for a romantic getaway! This rental was a highlight of 2008 for me even though I was alone on business!
