Abalone Condo covers the entire 1st floor and mezzanine level of HOT Coral House. Less than 1 block to the beach. With its large back porch, balcony, and privacy fence, it is ideal for outdoor entertaining or simply enjoying a summer rain shower. What is unique about Tybee Island? Barrier island just 20 minutes due east of historic Savannah . The island is small, just 3-mile diameter, and half that is tidal salt marsh . Birthplace and home of a C-list actor; chosen home of an A-list actor; nesting home of loggerhead sea turtles. Great dolphin viewing - virtually guaranteed on the north end of the island. Dolphin boat tours are always available, but sitting on the north beach is just as effective. We once watched a band of dolphins frolicking with a delighted kayaker. Impressive pier that extends way, way out into the water. Each end has a nice covered pavilion.

We live in NC because of military and the rest of the family lives in FL. So we don't get to see each other that often. We decided to meet halfway for a weekend and found the Coral House. Even with a houseful of five kids and 6 adults, it was great. There was plenty of room for all of us and the house was very well maintained and stocked with plenty of linens and dishes. We rented bikes for the weekend and had a blast. You can walk out the door to the back porch and there is a very nice setup from a fish pond to nice landscaping. You can be on the beach in a minute or two or it's a short walk to the lighthouse and museum. We would definitely recommend this location to other families. We plan to rent it again in the future!!
