We looked over a year at more than 50 residences to find the perfect London home base. This is it! From Heathrow, take the 15 minute express train to Paddington Station – go a very short cab ride or one tube stop. Enter our quiet townhouse: separate gate, private entrance – not an anonymous apartment building. The Edwardian interior is beautiful: 9 foot ceilings, crystal chandeliers, crown molding, period artwork, large reception room, eat-in kitchen, and separate dining room, with extra sleepers. The bathroom and 2 upstairs bedrooms are large, light, and equipped with extra beds. Amenities: cable, internet, new flat screen TV, high-end stereo system with iPod dock, washer and dryer, free calls to the U.S. We provide a guide to the area, stores, restaurants, and easy walks, such as to the antique districts of Marylebone and Notting Hill (Portabello Road). Close to two tube stops and the best London bus route – Oxford Circus is a 10 minute ride.

Our Neighborhood: Maida Vale is one of the upscale neighborhoods in Central London. Our street hosts shops, restaurants and delis, but is a one way tree-lined street and is quiet. Paddington Recreation Grounds is one block away. This large park has children’s playgrounds, a newly equipped gym, and running track. Little Venice, with its 18th century canals, quaint pubs, and notable white Georgian architecture, is an eight-minute walk. And a little further afield are the trendy restaurants of Notting Hill as well as the numerous Arabic restaurants of Edgeware Road. Whether you spend your days navigating the crowds on Oxford Street, touring Westminster Abbey, or awed by the Tower of London, you will welcome returning to our quiet, safe oasis.

London Sights: Our townhouse has a library of books and brochures. We also provide a street map of London that is yours to keep. Our personal guide gives you the rundown on local walks, stores and restaurants. Need a take out pizza? Fresh croissants? A gyro sandwich at midnight? Check our guide. We'll advise you on getting around by bus or tube, how to buy a travel card, and about a few lesser known sights of London that you shouldn't miss. We love London and hope you will too.

This beautiful home was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Before we even arrived, Fatijah sent us a
wealth of information about the townhouse and the area, which was a great comfort to us considering that this
was our first time in London. The townhouse is even prettier than it appears, and is as spacious as described.
The internet connectivity and the free phone calls to the states are invaluable bonuses as well. The
neighborhood is first class and convenient to everything. My husband especially enjoyed being so close to the
excellent park with its running track. Don't forget your tennis racquet, and do bring the kids over to the
playground! The tube is just a short walk away, and the Bakerloo line is convenient to just about everything.
Even the Tower of London (on the east side of London) was less than a half hour away. We carried Fatijah's
guide with us everywhere as well as the map of London that she included, and took many of her suggestions
concerning city walks, restaurants, and places of interest. After a busy day in the heart of the city, it was
always so nice to arrive back in the calm comfort of the Maida Vale neighborhood and the townhouse. I would
absolutely recommend this property to anyone, and I desperately hope that Fatijah continues to rent it out for
many years to come, because we would love to visit again and again.

A fabulous holiday in the perfect house: cosy, charming, tastefully decorated, fitted with all the necessary appliances, close to the tube, excellent restaurants and cafeterias. The guide provided by Fatijah was exhaustive and extremely useful as were all the books available in the flat. I loved going home at night after a full day of sightseeing. A holiday to be treasured forever! Thanks Fatijah, you are a wonderful person.

We have just returned from spending a week with our 2 adult sons in this wonderful townhome. Fatijah was wonderful in providing us with trip planning information and ideas. We found the home to be perfect. We were even surprised to find that the sofas turned into sleepers which allowed for our adult sons to have their own space. The convenience to the tube was ideal. We will certainly share this with future travelers to London as well as hoping to return ourselves.

We loved staying in your wonderful house and enjoying all that London has to offer. Paddington Park was beautiful and just a short walk away. The neighborhood was very safe and full of energy. Traveling around London was very easy since the Tube Station is just a 5 minute walk away.
Thanks again for allowing us to stay in your home. We will be back!

We LOVE the UK and have visited many times. Coming home each evening to our Maida Vale home was truly special. The home is LOVELY and the special amenities - including the Portmerian china - were a real delight! We especially enjoyed the neighborhood and our kids couldn't wait to run across the street each morning to the local shop for their fresh croissants. The home is furnished nicely with lots of love and attention to detail. We hope to return again soon! Chris, Bob & family
