The SandBag is a beautiful fully furnished cottage in the new Pointe West Resort. Built in 2006, this beach view house with three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms makes it easy to accommodate up to 8. Just 20 minutes from Galveston, this is a very quiet area with resort amenities. Fishing at San Luis Pass is among the best in Texas. Renters have access to resort - beach side pool, restaurant and bar, fitness room, bay side pool with lazy river feature.

Perfect Getaway

This little home away from home was perfect for our weekend family trip (after our cruise got cancelled).
Joyce was so accommodating and she has the place immaculate. We were so excited to find a place on short notice but being off season we were blessed to chose The Sandbag. The weather wasn't great but we were able to spend time on our private beach. Close to Moody Gardens & Strand but after going into all the "traffic" it was wonderful to get back to our house ( that's what my grand daughters called it.)

The owners were flexible and kind. The house contained everything we needed. Both A/C and heat were needed due to fluctuating weather patterns. The photos were very accurate. The beach was delightful, close, and quiet. We enjoyed our stay and rested.

Great house!

We stayed here recently. The house is well appointed and nicely decorated.
Its conveniently located to the beach walkover (very short walk) and competitively priced.
You get a great location and price and with the short walk you are on the beach, without paying the high prices of beach front. Its also bigger than the condo units. The owner has it very nicely decorated with all the kitchen equipment needed. The owner is also attentive and ready with a phone call or email as needed.
The resort property is great. We've stayed there several times. With young children its perfect because the pools and beach are a great combination. The beach on this side of Galveston is wide and we think the sand and water is cleaner. The beach was swept for seaweed while we were there.
You can park at the beach club and go back and forth from the pool to beach. There are also very nice grills at the pool area you can reserve for free.
The beach area by the house is very nice and uncrowded. We had it to ourselves.

The Sandbag in May

My wife, daughter and her family, and I recently rented the Sandbag . The house was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed to make the place feel like home (including internet). There was a short, convenient walk to the beach and our two grandchildren (ages 2 and 4) loved playing with the toys provided. We visited in early May, so it was quiet and not crowded. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for maintenance, but we hope to come back next year and enjoy the amenities. Thanks for the memories!
