There are Islands off shore that at times when low tide comes you can walk to. The water is about waist deep at the deepest. This area is north of the home about 15 blocks. Its fun to explore and go shelling along miles of the white sand beaches.

There are many sites and history to discover on Anna Maria and surrounding area. Explore' Eggmont Key' an old abandon Island off shore where they use to have the fort that protected Tampa Bay from invasion of our enemies throughout the years. The Mote Museum is where you will find a working aquarium and ecology center. Learn about the marine environment and what we can do to save the planet.
