Given a five star rating by the Saas Fee Tourist Office, this privately owned penthouse apartment is modern, spacious and stylish. It is only two minutes walk from the centre of the village, and five minutes walk from the nursery slopes/ski lifts. It is close to everything but quiet. The large sunny balcony has stunning views across the mountain range, glacier and nursery slope. The apartment has been furnished to a high standard and the impressive sitting room with dining area has an open log fire, flat screen TV,DVD & CD player. There is also high speed internet access and a cupboard full of board games! There are three bedrooms, one double (which has an incredible view) and two twins which also have great views of Hannig. One of the twins is en-suite and there is an additional bathroom for the other two rooms. There is a lift which has exclusive direct private access to inside the apartment. Located in the basement is a superb Wellness Centre. This has a fully equipped gym, one large sauna, a steam room, jacuzzi and plunge pool.
Saas Fee - known as the 'Pearl of the Alps': Aptly named, Saas Fee does have a magical quality for this village is brimming with character and Swiss charm, with its delightful restaurants tucked away in the woods and traditional shops on the car free cobblestoned streets. A romantic getaway and a great family resort with a huge range of activities that you can do in both Summer and Winter. Apart from the skiing which can be enjoyed all year round, you can take the cable car up to Hannig and sledge down a 5km run, day and night! There is a bob sleigh track on the mountain side, husky rides, an outdoor ice skating rink, mountain biking, ice climbing, zip wire across the gorge, bungy trampolining, an Olympic size swimming pool and children's pool with slide. There are over 30kms of hiking trails, 100kms of ski slopes, cross country trails and a snowboard park which has 10 foot walls of ice - the famous Half Pipe. The nursery slopes are ideal for beginners with a special fun snow park for young children and a first class ski school

We have been coming to Saas Fee for over 20 years and have also skied in many other resorts, however there is something very special about this beautiful village. Our three children all learnt to ski here from toddler age!They are aged 20, 14 and 11 now. They have always enjoyed staying in Saas Fee as there is so much to do. In the winter if we didn't ski, they would be sledging, ice skating, riding the mountain roller coaster or just messing around playing in the snow! In the summer you can use the cable ways for free with the new Saas Fee passport and go on some great walks and cycle rides.
Why Natalie Timbrell chose Saas Fee
We bought the penthouse apartment in this building from the plans and watched it being built in 2003. We knew that we would never find a better position in the village as it has everything! Every room has the most incredible view! There is a large south facing, sunny balcony which gets plenty of sunshine even in December! t is very close to the shops (3 mins), but far enough away from the main streets to be quiet. It is only a short walk to the ski lifts on the nursery slope.
What makes this apartment unique
We have always loved having a sauna or a steam after a long day skiing so having your own spa that you can use just a lift ride away is one of the best things about this apartment. The other is the view, it will literally take your breath away! You can lie in bed looking at the mountains and still have privacy! It's amazing!
