About the neighborhood:
Trastevere once was a popular quarter populated by craftsmen and small traders drawn in by the proximity of the harbour close to Tiber Island. It adds to this character, still strongly present, the appeal of the medieval alleys and the wonderful basilicas, coupled with the city most intense night life, numberless fine restaurants, colorful pizza-houses and pubs. Trastevere is bordered by the Tiber river and has the greatest density of ancient bridges that connect it to the rest of the inner city. Nearby the apartment you will find the Fabricio bridge linking the Lungotevere to the Tiber Island. It was built in 62 a.C. and it is the most ancient bridge in Rome, still intact and without restorations. The Tiber Island is a real island in the Tiber river and from its bridges you can enjoy a unique and impressive scenery. The island houses the most ancient hospital of the city and the beautiful X cent. S. Bartolomeo church.

Guest Book:
My wife and I and our three teenage daughters had a wonderful time in early October 2007 at this apartment. Stefania and Claudio were terrific and helpful hosts. The location is particularly good, away from the tourist areas and in the heart of a lively but local part of Trastevere. The bars and little restaurants in the area are quaint and the locals really friendly. Easy walk to the Colloseum but still very quiet. We would stay here again without hesitation.
