Local Events:
The Pincher Creek area hosts a number of special events including the Cowboy Poetry Weekend on the Father's Day weekend in June, Kite Festival mid-July, Fair and Rodeo 3rd weekend in August. Thunder in the Valley fireworks display during Crowsnest Pass' 'Rum-Runner Days' in mid-July.
The Town of Pincher Creek has a great indoor pool with hot-tub and wading pool, and a fitness center, as well as bowling lanes, squash courts, tennis courts, golf course, and movie theater.
The Environment:
This property is located adjacent to a wildlife sanctuary. Deer, elk, moose, are commonly seen, and bears and cougars do frequent the area. Hiking with bear-spray and bells is recommended.
The area can be very dry in the summer - fires are allowed only in the fire-pit; this may be subject to local fire bans in extremely dry conditions.
