Recently remodeled 2 story country home on 1.25 acres, located 5 miles from Woodstock on a dead end road. Very private, yet minutes to town. In ground swimming pool (open Memorial Day thru Labor Day). This home has been in the family for over 45 years and has been carefully and lovingly furnished and equipped for children and grandchildren. Some of the owner's antique family furniture, art works and library are displayed and used, yet it is a very comfortable home. In the last 5 years, the owners have built a new kitchen and dining addition, renovated the 2nd floor to 3 new bedrooms and a new bathroom, with tub/shower. Although we are on a dead end road, offering a great deal of privacy, our home is only 5 miles from the famous village of Woodstock, with its superb restaurants, fascinating and interesting shops, theater, natural food stores and pharmacies, newstands, etc.

Our Shady Home: Until a few years ago, our home was located in the hamlet of Shady- Unfortunately, Shady merged with Bearsville and now our postal address is Bearsville, But since our family had always called it 'Our Shady Home', we will continue to do so- Hence the name.

We loved our stay at the Shady Home. It has all the facilities/amenities of one's home. It is beautifully located in the woods with 100% privacy and has a wonderful pool. The house is immaculate, it is very well maintained and is very modern. The owner and manager provide outstanding customer service. I highly recommend this place to ALL! I know we will be coming back here again very soon! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

I utilized this Shady home to have some friends up for my wife's 30th and every guest was wildly impressed. The pictures don't do this beautifully remodeled home. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean. The kitchen was a perfect gathering area. The heated pool was the best. I will definitely recommend this home to all my friends looking for a nice country get away!

Oh yeah, let me not forget Frances the owner and Debbie who made sure I had everything I needed, they are truly special people!
