Lovely home, beautiful setting

Anne and David obviously put a lot of care into their cabin's decor and upkeep. Very clean, spacious, lovely. Well stocked with firewood. Great fireplace (and there is actually a second one.) And the setting is spectacular. Great views, quiet and secluded. Our power went out one morning (it was restored in less than an hour--a regional outage), but I phoned David just to be prepared if it happened again. He was very understanding, friendly and helpful. Same with our dealings with Anne. The weekend we stayed, it rained buckets the entire time, but my family loved our stay all the same. Our boy loved the spacious cabin, and looking out the window at the still-snowy mountains. My wife got some much needed rest. I got a very enjoyable, relaxing weekend with my family. Secluded, yet the town of Phoenicia, a 10-min drive, has everything you might want, including a fantastic brick oven pizza (Brio's), and a heavenly breakfast spot (Sweet Sue's). And my wife enjoyed visiting the spa, Emerson, a bit further down the road. Back to the cabin itself: My wife said, if it had a bathtub, it would be perfect (she is a bath person, but everything else was so right, she didn't complain). Our 3-yr-old said after we left, for the next day after: "I miss the cabin." We would recommend Anne and David's place highly, and we plan on visiting again. When it's not raining.
