Overview

Maggie Valley Cabin Rental Photos and Description

4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths sleeps 8-14

If you're planning a gathering of family or friends, Creek 'n Woods IV is THE PLACE! This 3 story log home is a Smoky Mountain vacation rental cabin in Maggie Valley, NC. The cabins sleeps 12-14 people, and is fully furnished and equipped to handle large gatherings. There are open decks on the first and second levels, a covered porch with outdoor dining and a gas grill on the second level, and $1,000,000 views from all the decks. The waterfall provides soothing sounds wherever you are. The large hot tub is located on the lower level with great views of the waterfall, the trees, and the valley below. At the end of a full day of exploring all that there is to do in Haywood County and the surrounding areas, the hot tub is a great place to soak away the cares of the day (or the sore muscles and possible bruises from skiing or snowboarding). With 3 levels inside and 2 levels outside, this cabin provides SPACE even when large numbers gather.

Creek 'n Woods IV is on a paved road in a gated community.

There are movies, games, puzzles, and books for your enjoyment; WiFi and Direct TV are provided.

This cabin is just minutes from the Maggie Valley Club for rounds of golf, and also nearby are The Wheels Through Time Museum, Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Harrah's Cherokee Casino, Cherokee Museum, the Biltmore Estate, Cataloochee Ski Resort, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, fishing, gem mining, shopping, music, and more. Nothing is too far from Maggie Valley!

We take great care of our guests from the moment you call to make your reservation to meeting you upon your arrival no matter what time of day or night that might be. After driving 4-13 hours the last thing visitors to our area need to face is the 'hunt for the cabin' in the dark. When we meet you, we take you to the cabin so that we can explain how everything works, provide directions to the grocery store, suggestions on where to eat, and what to do. For our motorcycle guests, we will even do your grocery shopping if you email us your list in advance thus eliminating multiple trips to the store for 'provisions'. If someone in your group is celebrating a special occasion (birthday, anniversary, graduation, marriage proposal, wedding etc) we will do whatever we can to help make the occasion special by providing a cake, decorations or the names of local businesses who can meet your needs.

Creek 'n Woods Vacation Rentals is committed to making your vacation memorable, special, and all that you hoped it would be. When your calendar, body and mind need some mountain time and a getaway, call us!

About Tom & Sue Knapko

My wife and I got married in Maggie Valley in 1996 and fell in love with the area. We moved here in 1997 from Ft. Myers, Fl and never looked back. The best move we ever made.

Tom & Sue Knapko purchased this cabin in 2008

Why Tom & Sue Knapko chose Maggie Valley

This was our 4th vacation rental cabin. It is the largest and we needed a larger cabin because our guests told us that they wanted to bring more people with them on their next visit. This cabin has now become a great place for gatherings of families or friends.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We have been going to Creek 'n Woods for at least seven years. We have stayed in all the cabins but this one is everyone's favorite. It definitely has a million dollar view. All their cabins are furnished with all the comforts of home. Their is something for everyone. You can spend the whole time just relaxing in the cabin or you can venture out and explore Maggie Valley, Gatlinburg, Biltmore House and much much much more. Tom and Sue are great. They are there to make your stay a time you will not forget.

Awesome experience

  • 5 of 5

Me with 12 other friends were there for the weekend, celebrating my wife's birthday and everyone loved the place and the experience. The owners made us feel like we were at our own home, and the services provided in the cabin were more than expected. We will return to this, and the other cabins. Highly recommend them for your next vacation in the mountains.

Best winter break!

  • 4 of 5

What a wonderful winter break we all had! We were seriously snowed in for 4 out of the 5 days we stayed, but we had a blast making memories! I called Tom to see if we could get rescued on the fourth day, and the snow plows were there within minutes. We loved how roomy it was, but the kids did have to sleep on the pullout couches. The cabin is fully stocked with spices, condiments, cookware, and we loved that! The only issue we had was the hot tub. We had a serious injury when someone slipped getting out. There's no railings, so when it gets below freezing, the stairs freeze and become a major slip hazard! We were lucky that she didn't need medical attention (and I still think she needs it!) because no one would have made it up the steep mountain. Other than that, we would come back in a heartbeat! Thanks Tom and Sue for providing such a wonderful vacation home!!

Awesome cabin!

  • 5 of 5

I've used a lot of different cabins over the years, but this is definitely the best. Everything was in great condition and the rental process was very smooth from start to finish. We'll definitely be going back.

Well Maintained and Stocked Ktichen!

  • 4 of 5

I enjoyed the 3 floors, allowed for privacy when needed. The kitchen had a great amount of condiments, serving bowls and plates, however limited pots and pans with mixed matched covers. The house was fully stocked with hand soap, towels, bed spreads even disinfectant spray. Tom and Sue were very responsive to inquiries from day one of booking and always friendly (I can't say the same for some other owners I contacted in my search process). They were also flexible with our arrival and departure time which was much appreciated. I was disappointed that the house was not actually 7 traditional bedrooms, instead 4 traditional bedrooms with 3 sleeper sofa beds in common areas. Also, the bed sheets and comforters seemed old. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay!

Owner's Response: We believe that this review merits a response. After reading the review we re-inventoried the kitchen for pots and pans with lids-and found only 2 pots without lids. However, this log cabin sleeps 12-14 people, and we want to be sure that our guests have enough pots and pans with lids to feed those staying in the cabin. We have now purchased and added 4 new pots and pans with lids to the kitchen. We were surprised that the reviewer/renter was 'disappointed' that there were not 7 'close-the-door' bedrooms because the number of bedrooms was explained to the renter when they booked the cabin. They knowingly rented the cabin with 4 'close-the-door' bedrooms and 3 sleeper sofas. As for the bedsheets and comforters seeming 'old'...in the late fall we put cotton flannel sheets on all the beds for the extra warmth and comfort of our guests; in the spring we replace them with cotton sheets. As for our comforters-they are either quilts or quilt-like comforters that support our décor for a cabin in the mountains. Our guests are important to us, and we want to provide what they need to be comfortable. Suggestions on how to improve what we offer are taken seriously.

Clean, Well Furnished,And A True Mountain Cabin

  • 5 of 5

To get to this cabin you go through a private gated entrance and up a "switch back" road to almost the top of the mountain...this cabin is literally at the very end of the road. It has a commanding view of the town and surrounding mountains and forest and if you are looking for privacy and a truly secluded and private getaway this cabin is it.

It was the cleanest cabin I have stayed at and it is well appointed with all the modern amenities such as Internet, satellite TV, DVD players, and plenty of books and games. There were plenty of towels, blankets, and the owners even left us fresh cookies. The jacuzzi was spotless with fresh water and was perfectly placed with a million dollar view with a nice waterfall next to it.

The owner, Tom and Sue, get a perfect rating for the best customer service I have ever experienced. They followed up quickly before the reservation and answered all of my questions over the phone, talked us through the directions for getting there, gave a great personal tour, and followed up to make sure everything was perfect...you cannot find better or more personal customer experience. They even had material printed and organized at the house highlighting the events in the area along with personal recommendations for restaurants. I have to share the restaurant, The Admiral, located in Asheville. It is a complete "hole in the wall" from the outside and looks like a biker bar, but the food is of the same quality and caliber as a 5-star restaurant...you will not regret eating there but be warned that reservations are required and very difficult to get.

I rent many homes for vacations and this is the real deal, exactly as described, and the owners were wonderful.

Mountain Charm at It's Finest!

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we walked in the door, we felt at home. The cabin had comfortable furnishings with attention to details. We were there for a late Christmas and the house was decorated beautifully. The owners were very gracious and kind in familiarizing us with the extensive home and surroundings. There are plenty of rooms, so you can find a quiet place to relax or gather as a family together. We had ten and never felt crowded at all. We spent a lot of time on the two decks. The views were spectacular in the winter with all the leaves off the trees. Our grandchildren (and a few adults) enjoyed walking to the playground and sliding on the grassy hills during our visit. We had hoped for snow, but actually had beautiful weather and made the most of our sleds on the grassy hills. We will definitely return again.
