Where to Hike!: Hikers and outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the Tahoe National Forest and the many recreation opportunities it affords throughout the seasons. Bicyclists will enjoy access to many local road and bike trail options, including miles of scenic paved roads with little traffic and many logging roads on public Tahoe NFS property. Mount Watson has extensive two track and mountain bike only trails. Hikers & bikers will enjoy access right through the neighborhood to the Pacific Crest and Tahoe Rim Trails on Watson Peak above. The nearest boat landing on Lake Tahoe's north shore at Lake Forest USCG Station is a short drive away, offering Tahoe's big blue water experience for those with boats.
Ski: Think Tahoe, then think world class snow skiing! In the winter Squaw Valley USA, Alpine Meadows, Northstar and Homewood are only 15 minutes away from the our condo. This offers a diverse choice of world class terrain and perfect snow conditions each day to be cherry picked for what experts all agree to be the finest downhill skiing in the country. Over 15 major ski resorts are within 30-45 minutes of this location. If you like cross country, the Tahoe Nordic Center is only minutes away. Treat your family to the north shore's finest network of groomed cross country ski trails, day lodge and world class ski events like Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue's highly acclaimed Great Ski Race from Tahoe City to Truckee California.
