Williamsburg House Rental Photos and Description
House, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)
View beautiful Elk Lake through the woods from your charming log house with stone fireplace. Follow a lovely path to a spectacular setting on the lake. We have eight acres and 650 feet of frontage with a nice lawn and beach area where you can enjoy swimming, boating, playing volleyball, or just relaxing at the beach. The 80 foot dock is perfect for sunning, picnicking, or watching the kids swim at the sand bar. In the evening the reflected sunsets, stars, and sometimes fireworks or northern lights can be enjoyed from either the shore next to the fire or out on the dock. The comfortable little house is freshly stained and painted, extremely clean, and very convenient with a newly remodeled and well equipped kitchen. Your vacation should be extremely enjoyable.
We are two miles from a public boat launch and Elk Lake is part of the Antrim County chain of lakes, consisting of Elk, Skegemog, Torch, and Clam lakes flowing into Grand Traverse Bay. The chain offers 45 miles of inland boating through the lakes and four rivers.
Turtle Creek casino is six miles away, the Horse Show by the Bay is 6 miles away, and Traverse City is 14 miles away with all the amenities of a tourist oriented city.

Guestbook comments from the owner
"Thank you for a wonderful envioronment. Our family enjoyed the setting, hospitality and accomodation. I loved the fishing!! We thoroughly enjoyed the vacation and will recommend your house to our friends. Best of luck, thank you for everything, and we'll see you again."
We are a retired school teacher and semi retired auto executive and consultant. We have three adult children that were raised in this house, and 8 grand children. Our primary recreation is boating on this chain of lakes and the great lakes.
We had family history in the area (my grand father settled on the next lake on the chain when he came to America in 1860) and it is a beautiful area to live and play in.
You have the opportunity to share a former resort with the owner couple. You have privacy and many recreation activities available on the property, as well as many shopping and sightseeing opportunities in the near area. There is an indian casino five miles away, a nice tourist city (Traverse City) 14 miles away, several ski areas within a 60 mile radius, local festivals, a nationally acclaimed horse show, and the lakes and trees of northern Michigan.
