A LAGUNA BEACH TREASURE
My wife and I have spent three memorable vacations in this beautiful, undiscovered Camelot. For reasons discernible below, we have been both slow and reluctant to share our discovery of this cottage on the internet. Should you choose to visit here you will understand.
Few, if any, accommodations in Laguna Beach can offer what one receives here. Spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, Bluebird Canyon, the Top of the World (highest point in L.B.), a large and private meditation garden anchored by a seventy year old pepper tree (home to many humming birds), flanked by towering palms, schefflera trees, saguaro cactus, too many other varieties of cacti to list, fruit bearing orange and lemon trees adorn the garden's lower terrace - a garden so secluded and quiet one may listen to the sound of silence. A perfect place to decompress, to meditate, to restore one's soul, to read, to write, or simply rest while absorbing the serene beauty of Rim Rock Canyon.
Gemutlich, the feeling of warm and cozy, fairly describes the cottage atmosphere. High beamed ceilings coupled with huge custom-made entrance and leaded kitchen windows flood the space with light and expand the feeling of openness. While not designed for small children, our two daughters (who live nearby) with their families (including our 11 year old granddaughter) spent many happy hours visiting with us and all fell in love with our Camelot. Saving the best for last, the beauty of this unique cottage is trumped only by the kindness of its extraordinary owners. They are two gracious and lovely souls who epitomize what is genuine, what is good, and what is great, about this beautiful three acre compound overlooking the Pacific. Although unrelated, we consider this special couple and their children a part of our extended family.
