The Cottage has a perfect location situated on the east of Silver Lake within walking/rowing distance to the Barnard General Store for all your needs and great food. The garden spills down to the waters edge with its own private dock and row boat, ideal for fishing and swimming. There is also a cook-out area. Great outdoors with Silver Lake State Park on your doorstep. The views are outstanding with Barnard Church seen in the distance. This beautiful cottage has a traditional feel with a stone fireplace with a wood stove insert and comfortable furnishings. Ample space for 8 people with 4 cozy bedrooms. Upstairs bathroom has freestanding bath and downstairs bathroom has a shower. There is a large porch overlooking the lake. End of wooded lane location with plenty of parking. Equipped with TV for only DVD movie use and CD/Radio player. As a consideration to the comfort and preference of the majority of our guests this is a no smoking house and we cannot accommodate pets.

The cottage is set in the village of Barnard, 10 miles from Woodstock and 6 miles to Suicide Six the nearest ski resort. The picturesque town of Woodstock has shops, cafes, bars restaurants, library and of course a covered bridge. There is also a fabulous farmers market situated just outside of Woodstock . The cottage has a year round appeal with summer fun at the lake, amazing foliage in fall and access to some of the best ski resorts in New England.
