Located a few minutes walk from the centre of the medieval village of Le Bar sur Loup, the bastide is set in a centuries old olive grove of 3000m2 with uninterrupted panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. We offer 5 very spacious and high quality gîte apartments, all with private front-door access and furnished with care in a warm and comfortable Provençale style. The fabulous 12 metre long and 5 metre wide swimming pool is surrounded by wrought iron fencing and equipped with sun loungers and parasols. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view !

The staircase leading down to the apartment takes you through the olive grove. The Olive Grove apartment is south facing with lovely views over the surrounding area. It is independent from the main house with its own private garden. Parking is in a private lay-by situated one level above the garden. The Olive Grove apartment has two double bedrooms, one of which also has a single bed. It is 100m2 in size and accommodates up to six people.

  • Olive Grove Apartment rentals are from Friday to Friday, however the changeover day is flexible during Mid and Low season.
    Arrivals should be after 4 pm and departures before 10 am.
  • A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the rental price is required at the time of booking and the outstanding balance is payable 8 weeks before arrival. A refundable damage deposit of €200 or £200 is required on your arrival.
    We accept payments in Pounds Sterling to a UK bank account or Euros to a French bank account.
  • All bed linen, towels, swimming pool/beach towels and final cleaning is included.
    ** We offer Long Winter Lets in the Olive Grove apartment, which has full central heating. Please enquire for reduced rates ! **

We just spent 5 weeks in Le Bar, and we lived in two different apartments. We had our little baby with us and all we needed for her was provided for on arrival, which made us feel very welcome. The rooms are homely decorated with a tough of provence and in good taste, with the possibility to enjoy a dvd, a book or the nice view of the valley/village. We even used the beautiful pool, in january, but I would recommend a warmer month!
We visited the local marked in Pre du Lac every monday, to buy olives, cheese and vegetable, and would recommend a visit.
The landscape surrounding Le Bar provides a vide range of beautiful walking tracks, up to Gordon or trough small tunnels.
We warmly recommend the hospitable friendly hosts and there comfortable home.
