Stop Looking...You Have Found the Perfect House!!!

I hope that I can convey in words how beautiful this home and the surrounding are! First, as a woman, the kitchen is to die for!!! Above average appliances, every kitchen gadget you could need and then some and enough dishes, glasses and silverware to feed an army! I could have made all of our favorite dishes just like I do at home and had everything I needed. Not much was said about the bedrooms in the reviews so I was a little worried...got over that REAL quick! Usually our family fights over who is sleeping where, not this time! There was not a bad bedroom in the house! Bathrooms wonderful! My 6'6" husband fell in love with the hot tub and the extra large tub in the master bath. It took me a few days to stop stubbing my toe on the DEEP tub in the loft bathroom but the pain was worth the wonderful soak! Our teenage girls love the "kids" room with the bunk bed and futon, lets not forget the game systems. HUGE hit!
The surroundings are fantastic! Keep in mind that we are a Florida family so just to see mountains is a treat, but because we were so high up we could see snow most days at home and every time we left the house. Close by you can visit Grandfather Mountain and the Mile High Bridge. You can go tubing at Hawks Nest. Shopping at the Tanger Outlets was a big hit. Dont forget the Mast Store! This store is on the National Registry of Historic Buildings and I can see why. I loved walking around the original building just to hear the wood floors creak! And lunch at Dan'l Boone is worth the trip and the wait! We would have liked to have traveld the NC Scenic Route but since we had a 12 hour drive we tried to keep the car time to a minimum.
Outside the house is plenty of room to run with your kids and dogs! If you sit outside quietly towards the end of the day you will see plenty of deer. But we enjoyed walking and listening to the peacful calls and sounds of nature. The stream that runs behind the house is soothing and peaceful. I can see a weeks worth of fun just being at the house if you are there when the weather is warm! I can only imagine how beautiful it looks with all the green everywhere.
Things I would change: Better hangers! And update the listing. It does not do the home justice. One of the best highlights: Patsy! She cares for the property and she checked in to make sure we got there okay, if we needed anything, and answered all of our questions!! She is an Angel!!
Iam ready to book for winter 2013!!

Owner's Response: Thank You John, for your caring, detailed description of our home and beautiful mountain area. We are blessed to have had you and your family for this week and to take the time write this exceptional review. Living in Florida ourselves, times in Banner Elk mountains are cherished! Thanks again, and we'll make certain hangers are on our grocery list!! Cathy & Family
