New post and beam cedar home completed in 2008 and built only 50 feet from the waterfalls of Beech Creek. This unique home is accessed via it's own private bridge and gate. It lies on an 82 acre private estate with over 1/2 mile of stocked Trout waters. Lots of hiking trails as well as easy strolling land. The children will be content swimming, catching crawdads, and roaming the mountain. This will allow you to forget the tourist traps and enjoy the peace and sounds of Beech Creek from the expansive decks. Rain will not keep you indoors as you can enjoy the outdoors from the large covered porch. This home will be available for rent starting April, 2008. The final inspection is scheduled for mid-March and photos will be updated when the furniture is moved in. The home is located 12 miles from Boone, 10 miles from Banner Elk, 7 miles from Valle Crusis and 7 miles from Beech Mountain. Also just upstream 'The Old Fisherman's Cottage' is available for rent. Ski: Ski Beech is only 7 miles away. They have an excellent children's program. You can drop the kids off and they will be given lessons as to there ability as well as served a hot lunch.

This is by far one of the nicest house we've rented for our vacation. Everything you could want in a vacation home was there and the location could not have been more tranquil and relaxing. Lounging in the hammock, listening to the soothing sound of the creek and soaking in the sun was just perfect. I would definetely come back. The owners have done a wonderful job making the house as comfortable as possible.

I spend alot of time researching our vacations and making sure that there is something for everyone. This house had it all. There isn't anything I can think of that you would need that is not provided here.
We have two teengers and impressing them is not easy. Both agree that this was one of our best vacations yet!

Beautiful Home

We just returned from a long weekend at this beautiful home. We travelled with our two children (10 and 8), my parents and our dog. Everyone loved the house and its wonderful stream in the back (especially the dog and children). My husband tried fly fishing for some trout, but the stream was low due to lack of rainfall in the past few weeks. He went a few miles away to a reservoir for some more fishing.

My son caught a ton of crawdads and salamanders and loved walking up and down the creek bed discovering new sights.

The house is well equipped and we loved watching the end of the Olympics on the large flat screen tv in the family room.

We took the owner's advice and took the scenic route to Banner Elk and enjoyed it. You're about 1/2 hour max, from Boone. Not too bad a drive to Grandfather Mountain either.

We will definitely return.

As good as it gets!

If you can stand the sound of a bold creek rushing by the house just below an enormous deck along with other sounds of nature, then this scenic and beautiful house is for you. I was truly amazed at this find that produced one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had. Everything was there that was needed and it was brand new. Beautiful Hickory hardwood floors and Cedar beams accented the wood interior and vaulted ceilings. I never had such a relaxing nights sleep in this hidden and private jewel of a place. I would recommend anyone to jump on this rental property and enjoy it the way that we did. You can guarantee that we will be back!
