INDOOR AMENITIES::
Cedar Shores Lodge can comfortably accommodate anywhere from 2 to 10 guests. The home is rustic and warm with a bank of 5 skylights which further adds to the 'open' feeling of the house giving you the sense of being outdoors even when you are inside. Our Door County stone fireplace towers over the living room facing out toward the lake which you can see through a wall of windows. We are proud to offer a very well stocked kitchen with just about everything a chef might need from a Crock Pot to a Coffee Grinder. No need for you to bring basic staples either, we have most of them there for you. The kitchen is open to the living room and allows you to to share time with family and friends while preparing great meals to share. There are a wide variety of videos/DVD's for both children and adults, as well as games such as Scrabble, Rumikub, Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly, Cards, Poker Chips, Puzzles, Crayons, Coloring books and more.
OUTDOOR AMENITIES::
Abundant seating on a large deck which wraps around the lakeside of the home includes a picnic table that seats 8, a cedar log swing and additional chairs. We have a large birdfeeder and supply you with sunflower seed so you can do a little birdwatching as you look out at the lake. Our lake view faces the state of Michigan (about 50 miles across the lake) which can only be seen on a very clear night - otherwise you have a wide panoramic view of water, sky and the occasional passing ship. Down the boardwalk there is a waterside deck with table and chairs to enjoy breakfast or evening cocktails only feet from the water's edge. Adjacent to it is a fire pit area and a great hammock for lounging on those lazy days. Descend the wooden staircase to 120' of lakeshore. Our beach is composed of small round rock - however once you enter the water, the bottom quickly turns to sand. It is shallow for up to 1,000 feet offshore making for great swimming once the lake warms up!
