We have the perfect romantic hideaway for two in a rustic, 1100-square-foot treetop cabin with panoramic views of the Folly River - 2 story, 2 bathrooms, clawfoot tub, separate shower, heartpine floors reclaimed from an historic Charleston home, Cypress walls and 10'cielings allow for a cozy feel, yet,is brightly lit by a skylight and many windows, ceiling fans, 3 decks (one is rooftop, offering a perfect spot for stargazing, or watching the sunrise or set), beautiful river views, washer/dryer, gas range, refrigerator, A/C. Quiet, no smokers, no parties, no pets. Architectural configuration is, unfortunately, not conducive to the safety of children, so adults only, please. Please call for availability as calendar is not frequently updated. Thank you for your interest.

  • There will be a linen fee of $50.00 in addition to all other charges. Please bring beach towels.
  • Please consult management if you are planning to have overnight guests because there will be an additional charge due to septic overload. Also, this will insure the maintenance of a tranquil environment. Thank you for your understanding and compliance.
  • Jan 1 - March 7, '08: $95/night; $700/wk (dbl occupancy)- 3 night min
    *Monthlong rates available for Jan and Feb; please inquire about holiday rates
    March 8 - May 16, '08: $125/night; $875/wk (dbl occupancy)- 3 night min
    May 17 - Sept 19, '08: Sat-Sat only $975 (dbl occupancy)- 7 night only
    Sept 20 - Dec 31, '08: $125/night; $875/week (dbl occupancy) - 3 night min
    Cancellations must be two weeeks prior to arrival date to prevent loss of deposit
    Additional charges include a $50 cleaning fee & $50 linen fee
    $300 security deposit will be refunded no later than 2 weeks after departure.

welcome romantic retreat

We came back to Folly to get engaged, it was the location of our 1st get away together 2 years earlier. At first we were disappointed that we couldn't go back to our original spot, then while searching other options we came upon the Tree House. Dave was a great host and everything was as advertised. The comfy bed, the eclectic ambiance, and the childlike feeling of being in the trees. I highly recommend this for those of you who despise the sterility of the Commercial Hotels and seek the fun of discovering the niche qualities of places like the TH. Oh and by the way my proposal was accepted! Cheers.

Perfect Beach-y Retreat

Used the FB Treehouse for a week-long writing retreat and it was perfect. David, the owner, was a generous and welcoming host. I liked that most everything in the house (including the wood of the house itself) is recycled and much is handmade or repurposed. It gives a very cozy eclectic feel. Yes, it is rustic, but also very clean and comfortable too. You feel as if you are borrowing a friend's house for the week. Appliance-wise, everything in the house worked fine (toaster, coffeemaker, tv and DVD player, washer & dryer). Writing chi was very good and I also got some good relaxing in as well. Lots of birds singing and trees rustling. Rain on the metal roof is wonderful. The light in the day time is great and created a superb working ambience. High speed internet worked well and a nice little writing table satisfied my needs. For fun in the sun, the Treehouse comes with lots of toys like a volleyball, frisbee, bikes, and my favorite-the boogie board). In the evening, it is very quiet and being on the river side, is tucked nicely away from the noise and partying that happens downtown and closer to the beach. This is the ideal place for a beach retreat for a singleton or couple who crave peace and quiet. Beach is super short walk straight down the road, and "downtown" is a 10 min stroll away. The host is very good and I got the sense he really cares about people relaxing and having a good time during their stay. A wonderful value overall and I will definitely return!

Quaint TreeHouse

This was exactly what we were looking for. The tree house was very accommodating,peaceful,and a nice relaxed atmosphere. David, was a gracious host checking in with us when we first got there, telling us about places to eat and visit. His laid back attitude put us in a wwonderful mood from the moment we got there. The house had a huge king size bed and was uniquely decorated on both floors. The claw foot bath tub was all we had hoped it would be and the widows peak was a great place to enjoy the weather and scenery. Just minutes away from the beach and a short walk to the main street this was an ideal location. I would recommend this setting to anyone that wants to get away and spend time with a loved one.

Wonderful people to work with. Clean and quaint "tree house" - lovely view from top widow's walk. Easy access to restaurants and town. Folly Beach is a great place to relax and recoup.

Rustic Lovers Getaway

From our initial excitment of arriving early to find the property unlocked and upon entering the main living area to be greeted by a king size bed complemented by hand made quits, we knew we were in for a treat. We were greeted by the owner shoutly after arriving and were given the full 10 minute tour of the "treehouse" . The name alone should give you some indication that you were going to be in a different world. The retreat is rustic with exposed wood throughout and a claw foot tub for those special bubble baths. The kitchen is quaint in size, perfect for couples who enjoy cooking together. With the advantage of having a queen bed upstairs off the kitchen, you need not to venture down stairs, unless you need more room. Both beds are comfortable, with the king being hands down the most comfortable. This retreat is perfect for those lovers who are not interested in TV or keeping up with time.
The beach is an enjoyable bike ride from the Treehouse and David the owner can help you out there. All in all you have to be into the person you come with or you will sit around and knit pic the place and never see the charm it has to offer. Me and my lover will be frequent guests of the Treehouse because it is an escape from the rat race and you can truely rediscover each other. I couldn't tell you if the TV works, nor the alarm, I never turned either on. I did use the free WiFI for a little work and that worked well, but my spouse had other plans for me!!!!!
There are enough pots and pans to cook just about anything you need and the market downtown is about a 15 minute drive. For the money, its an experience you will never forget, just be open minded and love the one your with and you will have as outstanding time.....
