One of the best features is the location, you can walk to shopping, restaurants, ice cream, souvenir shops, grocery stores, art galleries, brew thru and more. One mile to YMCA where you can purchase a day or week long pass. The YMCA has a indoor and outdoor swimming pool with slides for the kids, fitness center, skate park and raquet ball. Enjoy miles of beautiful beaches, great restaurants, Wright Brothers National Memorial, Jockeys Ridge State park, great fishing at marinas, piers and Oregon Inlet, golf courses, Tangier Outlets and a short drive to Roanoke Island.

You can go site seeing, wild pony or bird watching or hike up to Jockeys Ridge ( the largest sand dunes on the east coast) fly a kite or take hang gliding lessons.

Notes

  • No one under the age of 28 will be permitted to rent the cottage. Proof of age required.
  • You will be required to provide a $300 security deposit to reserve the cottage. The property will be inspected immediately after you vacate and provided there is no damage or loss to the cottage the deposit will be returned to you within 30 days of your stay.

    No one under the age of 28 will be permitted to rent the cottage at any time. No groups of students, No Spring Breakers or Graduation Beach Week Parties. Proof of age required with appliation & lease.
  • TRAVEL INSURANCE

    Although we do not offer travel insurance personally, we highly recommend it. Trip insurance is inexpensive and covers a variety of issues that could impact your vacation and save you a lot of heart ache, should unforeseen circumstances occur. As they say on TV, “Life comes at you fast.” Most notably would be a mandatory evacuation due to a hurricane.

This house is perfect - clean, well appointed and close to everything! We hardly used the car during our stay. The street is quiet, and the neighbors are very friendly. They have flat screen TVs & DVD players, even movies for the kids, and board games, books - Don't miss dinner at Kill Devil Grill, best meal in town. This is our favorite house, bar none! The owners have put a lot of nice touches, doesn't fee like a "rental".

My family and I stayed at this wonderful home over the weekend. The owner accepted a two-night stay and we had a great time. We hope to return next year!

As other reviews have mentioned, the home has excellent furnishings and the kitchen is well-stocked. The bedrooms were very comfortable and it's a quick walk to the beach.

Perfect Vacation!

I cannot say enough good things about this house and my family's vacation at OBX. Everything was so perfect that we've decided to go back next year, except for two weeks instead of one!!!!

This house is so close to the beach (a couple of minutes walk), so nicely decorated, clean and comfortable that I really wouldn't change a thing. The owners were a dream to deal with, and as I said, we will definitely be back.

Our vacation was just our family - myself, husband, 12-year-old and 15-year-old, and there were so many things to love about it. The area is quiet and safe so the kids were able to ride the bikes on their own or walk down to the beach. Family walks for groceries (wonderful well-stocked supermarket a 5 minute walk away), or frozen yogurt were great.

My husband enjoyed surf fishing, we all indulged in kite flying and just had so much fun relaxing and playing in the surf! The beach is clean and quiet, and the whole atmosphere of the house and neighborhood was just what we were looking for!

The house was extremely clean and well-appointed. The kitchen is stocked with pretty much everything you could need and the bedrooms are very comfortable. There are sand toys and bikes which we enjoyed, and although we didn't actually use the hot tub during our stay it seems wonderful, and we'll probably make a point to spend some time relaxing in there next time. I just can't say enough good things about this property. Highly recommend!!!!!

This house is so charming and the location is fantastic. It's a very, very short walk to the beach. Centrally located to restaurants and shops. The interior is upgraded and clean. Well worth the money. Truly enjoyable! Will definitely return.
