Located on a quiet road 10 minutes to downtown Halifax in beautiful Ferguson’s Cove, this three bedroom house has all you could ask for and more. It is peaceful and private with all modern conveniences and has the most breathtaking views. Enjoy the walking trails at nearby York Redoubt, a Parks Canada National Historic site, or sit back and watch the cruise ships enter the harbour from either the first or second floor balconies. This house has been newly renovated and is in a very unique and private setting. The home is tastefully furnished and equipped with TV, stereo, DVD player, washer and dryer, BBQ, a fully equipped kitchen, extra linens and towels, books, magazines, movies and just about anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

  • We can easily accommodate six or eight people with three queen sized beds and a pull-out sofa bed in the den. It is ideal for large or extended families, for three or four couples, visiting academics, corporate travelers, conference attendees or those working in Halifax on a short-term basis. The two-story, three-bedroom, 1½ bath, smoke-free house is bright and sunny, has spectacular views from the living room, dining room and all three bedrooms. The bedrooms all are equipped with bedside tables, lamps, chests of drawers, closets, bookshelves and books. The back of the house faces a private semi-wooded garden.

This is a beautiful home, filled with charm and character. The two decks overlooking the ocean are a huge benefit to sites of the harbour, not to mention a great place for entertaining friends.

This ocean front home, allows for whale and sea lion watching right from the front deck.

I highly recommend this home to anyone contemplating staying in the Halifax area, IT is close to everything, downtown, shopping, restaurants.

Our stay here was absolutely superb.

We had a wonderful week at the Captain's Quarters. The house was comfortable and roomy. We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the harbor views: ships, boats, dolphins, seals and whales. We were well taken care of by Lara abd Bret. This is agreat place to stay and enjoy the great city of Halifax.

We stayed at the Captain's Quarters for a week and had a wonderful time! The views from the large front patio overlooking the Halifax harbour were a refreshing change from the busy city life. We could see the dolphins and seals swim by as well as watch the sailboats and ships come into view! The house had all the modern conveniences from back home along with ample space for our entire family to spread themselves around. Our stay was very peaceful and relaxing. The house is just around the corner from the city to make sightseeing very easy to do. This house sure beats a hotel any day and we would all go back and stay at the Captain Quarters on our next trip to Halifax. Thanks to Lara and Bret for ensuring we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
