Cape San Blas. Newly constructed 3 BR (2 queen one full), 2 BA all on one floor Sofa converts to double bed and day bed in living room. TV in living room and master bedroom. Screened porch on front of house, private shower outside under unit, covered parking for four vehicles. Short walk (4 minutes to beach). Linens, beach and bath towels furnished. dishwashing soap, coffe filters, sugar and spices furnished. As well as first toilet paper and paper towels.

Beach supplies in storage below: beach chairs, crab nets, buckets, beach umbrella, coolers, sand toys for toddlers, rolling cart to carry chairs, coolers, etc. Fishing: (Off-shore and Bay) Congo Charters (850) 229-8034. Happy Ours Kayak 1/4 mile away (directly on the Bay). Beach is always empty, Ride horses on the beach (1/4 mile away). St. Joe Golf Course (5 miles away). You can fish right on the beach in front of the subdivision and usually catch some whiting and occasionally a flounder (use live shrimp). During certain times of the year there is an abundance of blue crabs. The bay is great for snorkeling (scallop season opens July 1

Wonderful Vacation Home

Our family has been vacationing on Cape San Blas for at least 10 years. This was the nicest pet friendly home we have rented. Clean and comfortable, light and airy in decor,but not fussy, with a screened in porch that really kept out the bugs but caught the breeze,you could see the water from the porch. The beds are comfortable, and everything we needed for cooking was there. The location was great too, just a block from the beach, . Our family of college kids and dogs had such a great time , fishing and playing on the beach. We also rented kayaks at Happy Ours (near the house), and had a fabulous day, snorkeling and kayaking together. The owner was wonderful to work with and completely trustworthy. This is a fabulous place for the price!

My husband, myself, and the dogs stayed at this beach house last summer and had to come back for our spring break this year. We absolutely love it. The house is very close to the beach, stocked with everything you need that you could ever imagine, and just feels like home. The community is incredibly peaceful and the beaches are as well. Amazingly stunning beach. Very dog-friendly...great place to come to get away from it all...we'll be back!
Owner's Response: This couple was great to have at my beach house. I was glad to hear from them again and gave them a special rate for being a return visitor.

Wonderful Vacation!

If you are looking for a quiet, laid-back spot then this is THE place! It is very clean, extremely well equipped and seems much larger.

Our 10 month old kitten absolutely loved haanging out on the screen porch.

The central location is very good for exploring from Mexico Beach to Apalachicola with ease. And the walk to the beach IS really short.

Jyll was wonderful to work with and we put her to the test! An ice storm forced us to reschedule and she was most accommodating.


We had a great week even though the weather was a bit cool. We can't wait to visit again and would certainly stay right here!

The house had everything we need Crib in the spare bedroom as well as a port a crib in case the baby needs to sleep in another room. It has DSL internet access and SAT TV with all the movie channels. It's only a block from the Gulf in a quiet neighborhood. And lastly the owner was very nice and easy to work with. We wish we could have stayed longer....

Family-Friendly, Beautiful, Quiet Relaxation.

Beautiful beach house with personal, palm tree-inspired decoration. If you like to cook, you will find every possible culinary gadget needed in the extremely well-stocked kitchen! We were impressed with the quietness of the area and the almost-private beaches. Great fishing and boating. Great sight-seeing and antique-shopping in the nearby historic town of Appalachicola. Scrumptious seafood restaurants too! Very laid-back and relaxing atmosphere in the house and in the area.
Would definitely go back and would recommend for families. The owner was very nice and helpful. If you have pets, it would be a great place. The only detracting quality of the place would be if you are allergic to pets. We did not have one, but it was obvious that former tenants had.
