If you want to get away from everything......except a cottage on a beautiful beach in the Bahamas, then consider a week at the Reef House.

The Reef House is an oceanfront cottage located in a secluded neighborhood at Bahama Palm Shores, Abaco, Bahamas. The cottage is aptly named because it is in swimming distance of a series of reefs that calm the ocean before the waves hit the beach, making it perfect for swimming, snorkeling, fishing, or just viewing the tropical colors. The spacious cottage is fully equipped; has a great room with cathedral ceilings, a complete kitchen, dining, and living area that opens to a screened porch overlooking the ocean. There are two queen bedrooms with adjoining baths downstairs, and two large loft bedrooms with 2 twin beds in each, that are easily accessible by stairs.

The cottage is 19 miles south of Marsh Harbour airport, so you will need to rent a car (about $350/week).

The Reef House is in a secluded residential neighborhood

composed mostly of second home owners. It is on a beautiful

8 mile stretch of beach with good swimming, snorkeling, and

fishing. Most of the shopping, restaurants, and stores are

in Marsh Harbour, therefore is is usually advisable to rent

a car, which costs about $350 a week. Abaco Island has a wide

variety of sights, from isolated fishig villages to fancy resorts; blue holes, wold horses, out islands, and so on.

Abaco Island is less than 200 miles east of Florida, and Marsh Harbour has an international airport served by American and Continental airlines, as well as numerous Floridian and Bahamian airlines. Bahama Palm Shores is in a secluded neighborhood located about 19 miles south of Marsh Harbour. The REEF HOUSE is right on an eight mile stretch of beach, and we will provide a map and easy directions to get there. By far, the best way to get to the cottage is to rent a car at the airport (about $350/week). You then have the pleasure of your own private beach cottage, yet have the ability to explore and enjoy the entire island of Abaco.
