This charmer was built in 1923 and sits quietly on a hillside tucked back from traffic overlooking downtown Estes Park. It has stunning views of the mountains from the living room and kitchen. There are 2 bedrooms that will comfortably sleep 4-6, but will accommodate up to 8. The kitchen and deck are brand new, but the original hardwood floors add to the warmth and charm. The large stone fireplace warms up in winter, the fresh breezes from the mountains come through in summer. Relax and read on the couch or the new deck or watch a movie on the large flat screen TV with DVD player. Enjoy the wildlife that wander through the property. The house is 2 blocks and a 5 minute walk down the hill to the middle of downtown Estes. It is a short drive to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National park.

Estes Park is a sleepy little town in the winter, but late spring, summer and fall is Colorado at its best. The sun, the mountains and the lakes are just beautiful. Hiking and biking through the Rocky Mountain National Park is unforgettable. Driving Trail Ridge Road during the summer is a great experience (it is closed during the winter). Fishing on the Big Thompson River is nearby. Downtown Estes Park is loaded with quaint shops, great restaurants, horseback riding, and fun things for the kids to do.

  • $200 security deposit required to hold your dates
  • During the peak season May 15-Sept 15, a one week rental is $1050. For 3-6 night stays, the rate is $175 per night. Please check the availability calendar for your dates.
  • Scrapbook/craft retreats will be charged: minimum 3 guests, $150 per person per weekend. Retreats begin at 12pm on Friday and end 5pm on Sunday and are based on house availability. If additional nights are needed, call for availability and price

  • The queen bed we have selected is a large, rustic 4 poster with a canopy. The daybed comes with a trundle. The second bedroom has a full over full bunk bed. The house sleeps 4-6 very comfortably, but could sleep 8 with all beds used.

Notes: The house is fully ready now for those of you who have been keeping up with the remodel. We have Qwest high-speed wireless internet, so bring your laptop. Cell phones work great at the house and in town. The house has a local land line that works all over Estes Park and to Loveland and Fort Collins. We welcome dogs, but with some restrictions: $15 per day, kept on leash outdoors, not on furniture, and picked up after. There is no fenced yard, and lots of wildlife that wander through.

Lovely, Peaceful, Great Location!

My husband and I stayed here four nights in September. This is a wonderful place to decompress. It is peaceful and we loved the view from the front windows both day and night. We also loved being close to town. The fact that Trish and Matt thought about all the little things -- quality of the towels and dishes, music, games and things for children, good coffee in the frige -- tells us how much they care about their home and their guests. We highly recommend staying here and will be back our next trip to Estes.

We stayed here for a week in July. It is a great location, just a short walk to downtown Estes Park and a quick drive into Rocky Mountain National Park. Great kitchen and deck - we cooked out on the grill every evening and sat on the deck with views of downtown and the mountains. One evening there were 5 elk grazing by the deck. Comfortable furniture - wireless internet and satellite tv were nice modern amenities.
