Rent this 6 bedroom, two full bath country farmhouse with large living room and fireplace, dining room that seats 10-12, and 2-car garage. It's a ten minute drive to Mount Mansfield, the Village of Stowe, and has very easy access to I-89 and Route 100. Located on 12.5 acres, complete with a babbling brook and century-old barn, the house comfortably sleeps 12. Downstairs (2 BRs): a master bedroom with king-sized bed; and a twin-bedroom with two twin beds. Upstairs (4 BRs): two twin-bedrooms with two twin beds each; one with a full-sized bed; and one with a queen bed. There are two full bathrooms and a washer and dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of cooking supplies and a grill out back. Living room has satellite TV with a VCR/DVD player, fireplace and plenty of seating.

This farmhouse was rebuilt in the 1950s and has been in our family since 1971. It sits on 12.5 acres in the Moscow section of Stowe, Vermont, complete with a babbling brook in front, a two-car garage and old-fashioned barn. A sprawling field sits behind it, surrounded by trees that show off the exquisite beauty of New England foliage in autumn. The house is just a 10-minute drive from downtown Stowe, 10 minutes from Mount Mansfield, and 5 minutes from the Trapp Family Lodge. The house is about 20 minutes from exit 10 on Route 89, and about 35 minutes from Burlington.

The Town: Stowe is both a picturesque Vermont village, complete with a church steeple and covered bridges, and an internationally renowned winter resort for skiers, snowboarders, and other cold-weather adventurers. The downtown area, known as the village, as well as the Mountain Road, which leads to Mount Mansfield, is filled with quaint artisan shops and world-class restaurants. With Waterbury's Cold Hollow Cider Mill, Cabot Cheese Annex Store, and Ben & Jerry's Factory Store nearby, the area offers something for everyone.

The Mountain: Vermont's highest peak, Mt. Mansfield offers a wide variety of terrain for all levels of experience. Although best known for its 'Front Four' trails, which happen to make up some of the most challenging skiing in the Northeast, it also offers some great intermediate trails, as well as beginner trails in the Toll House area. Its little sister mountain, Spruce Peak, is geared toward beginner and intermediate skiers and riders. Stowe Mountain Resort offers discounted lift tickets on their website for advanced sales (Internet only).
