3 bedrooms, 3 full baths (2 en suite), sleeps 6, Unique Luxury

Originally built as a post and beam boat house on a bank by water's edge, the structure was completely remodeled in 2007 with the addition of a bedroom wing with 2 luxury bedrooms (queen) with spacious en suite baths. There is a sleeping loft (twin beds) overlooking the great room and a total of three full baths and a private outdoor shower. The entry is via a protected garden with a stone patio. On the water side are two decks (one secluded for sunning) and a walkway connecting to the outdoor shower and bedroom wing. The living spaces include a library, a media room, and a great room for entertaining and preparing meals in the gourmet galley. The Boat House is furnished with nautical items, antiques, and comfortable chairs and sofas. It has a two zone central air conditioning system, hot air heat, and two wood burning Vermont Casting Stoves. All amenities including hi speed Internet WiFi, Direct TV, laundry room with washer/dryer,and a gas grill. It is an extraordinary property!

Spring weeks and weekends are available from May 12th to May 26th. The week of August 18-25 is the only summer week available. Indian Summer and Fall weeks and weekends are available starting Sept 22nd. . Cozy and warm with hot air heat and two wood stoves.

The Boat House is located at water's edge in a tranquil pine forest bounded by the Conservation lands of the Fox Island Preserve and a tidal inlet from Wellfleet Harbor which is ideal for kayaking. From the property paths lead into the nature preserve and along the nearby marshes which abound with wild life. Nearby are the famed Atlantic beaches, Cape Cod Bay and fresh water ponds for swimming and boating. Within minutes is the Mass Audubon Society, the Cape Cod National Seashore with its environmental programs and a 24 mile long bike trail connecting nearby towns. The historic village of Wellfleet 'The Art Gallery Town' offers many restaurants, art galleries, and summer theater events.

  • There is a private outdoor shower which is accessed from wooden walkway from both the entry & library deck and directly from the master bedroom. The third bath is off the media room and is used as the guest bath and for those sleeping in the loft.

The master bedroom has a four posted 'queen Foo' bed, a great reading chair, views to the water and all bedrooms have hardwood floors with antique oriental rugs. The contemporary art collection is amazing!

Spectacular - Feels like old Cape Cod -

“It is just spectacular here and we are having a wonderful time! This feels like old Cape Cod (I've been coming to the Cape for over 50 years) and we are just loving it. Wondering if this time or any time in the late spring or summer is available for 2011? We'd surely love to repeat this performance!!! Thanks, so much, for letting us share this”. The house is perfect...wating for nothing

We had a most wonderful time in your Boat House. The house is perfect...wanting for nothing and so comfortable. We enjoyed all the art . The view is unbelievable!!...magically changing from mud flats to sparkling water. I am a birder and the shore birds were plentiful. The walks by the house are beautiful. I cannot say enough about your Boat House...except can you tell me when is not too soon to ask about available weekends for next fall. We all (husband, son, daughter-in-law, and grand kids) could not believe our luck to be spending our time in such beauty. And, the weather was superb...I swam in the bay and in Slough Pond. Thank you for everything. I appreciate how easy and pleasant you made all the arrangements. I hope we will be able to return soon.

An Incredible spot

“It’s an incredible spot. Amazing the way the water turns into flats and then back to water again, seemingly in the blink of an eye. The house itself is both exquisite and comfortable. Fascinating design. The inside of the house is somehow twice as large as the outside, plus you can get from in doors at every turn. “

“We had a fabulous time staying at the Boat House. It’s about the nicest house ( let alone a beach house!) I’ve ever stayed in. And the location! It just doesn’t get any better! Loved the scenery and solitude ( only broken by the herons taking issue over territory) and hearing my dad (82) keep a running account of whether the tide was in or out. I must have walked every conservation trail and beach I could find. All in all (weather included) it was perfect! Thank you so much for letting us stay.
