Newly redecorated, spacious house welcomes you to gracious and comfortable living by the shore. Beautiful crown moldings and stained glass fill the house. The fully equipped, modern island kitchen features stainless appliances, walk-in pantry, dishwasher. This is a perfect gathering place for housing out-of town wedding guests or holding family reunions all year round. Kids love their own 'den' upstairs; adults chat on the porch, near the fireplace, or around the dining room table. My home is also ideal for a small professional conference or retreat -- hi-speed wireless Internet connections are available throughout. Two large flat screen TVs with DVD and plenty of flexible meeting space simplify your arrangements. The house is less than a mile from the train station with frequent service to NYC; dozens of fine restaurants are within walking distance.

  • Starting January, 2011, changeover day for weekly rentals is Friday, check-in at 2, check-out at 10
  • Returning renters will receive a 5% discount.

    Any rental periods over five weeks will receive a 10% discount.

    Absolutely no prom parties or high school groups.

    NOTE: effective immediately, all new signed rental agreements will include laundry cost; guests will no longer be responsible for laundering linens and towels.
  • Don't need quite so much space?
    A separate apartment sleeping four with full kitchen, living/dining room, bath, and two bedrooms (one queen and one twin) is included in this listing. If you don't need the apartment, rents will be 10% lower. This option is not available for summer seasonal rentals (July 1- Labor Day. The apartment cannot be rented separately.

Notes: Living room also has an I-pod docking station with radio and speakers. Spacious dining room table seats 8 and there is an additional console dining room table that can be opened up to seat an additional 8 or so people for a big crowd. Kitchen is completely remodeled with all new appliances (including dishwasher) and eat-in island. There is a second kitchen in the apartment, so you'd have access to two ovens if you are cooking for large groups. The apartment also has its own living room with a big screen TV/DVD -- a perfect place for the kids -- while the adults gather downstairs in the main living room. Housekeeping/cleaning service provided at changeover and twice a month during longer rentals. Large four-burner stainless gas grill is perfect for easy cooking for a crowd.

Sorry, Summer, 2010 is no longer availble. : This house is ideal for a family reunion or for several couples or families who want a wonderful vacation at the Jersey Shore. Very few homes in Ocean Grove offer so many bedrooms and baths. This house sleeps 14 without anyone needing to sleep on a cot or sofa bed, and four full bathrooms make it easy when everyone comes home from the beach at the same time! The house is perfectly located within easy walking distance to the beach, the Auditorium, downtown Ocean Grove, and the hip restaurants and night spots of downtown Asbury Park. Walk to my new favorite restaurant on the boardwalk, Stella Marina, and wander over to the famous Stone Pony nightclub for a nightcap and to hear the newest bands.

Nearby attractions: Take day trips to Monmouth Racetrack, Atlantic City, Six Flags, or New York City. Rent a boat at the nearby Shark River inlet marina, or take a deep-sea fishing trip with the family. Try your hand at paragliding. The kids can learn to fish with free lessons at the Ocean Grove Pier. Several golf courses are available nearby; tennis and shuffleboard at the Grove tennis club. And for a unique stroll down memory lane, don't miss the Pinball Museum down the Boardwalk in Asbury

Great House in Great Location

Our family spent Thanksgiving and we had a great time. The house is comfortable and well equipped with room for everyone. Very close to downtown Ocean Grove & the great restaurants in Asbury Park. Fantastic walks on the beach and beautiful surroundings. The perfect family vacation.

a great week

Our family of 12 had a great week at this spacious home using both the main unit and the apartment. Quiet room air-conditioners let each group choose their own comfort level. For my husband and myself, it was windows and door to the second floor porch wide open to enjoy the wonderful ocean breezes.

It's an easy walk to the beach and boardwalk and Day's for wonderful ice cream. The Wednesday evening organ recital at the auditorium was a highlight for me while others enjoyed the fireworks on the beach.

Carol was a great landlady--very accessible and accommodating.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Young Children

great place for families w/ kids

This is a great house to stay in with multiple families with kids (family reunions, friends, etc.). Lots of bedrooms and tons of amenities. Excellent proximity to the beach, lots of beach gear provided (beach tags, towels, chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, boogie boards, etc.). Owner very hospitable and accommodating.
Recommended for:  Families with Young Children

Comfy and felt like home

This house was large enough to and comfortable enough to accommodate our Fall church retreat. The owner was so easy to reach and she was a pleasure to meet. The home was nicely decorated and organized. We were able to find everything we needed and it was helpful to have 2 working kitchens for our large group. Overall, it was a great experience and I'm glad it worked out so well for us.

Peaceful Home

This house was the perfect setting for our meditation retreat. It was spotlessly clean, and decorated with such love and attention to detail. There was not one thing left out. The new kitchen was a joy to cook in and each room had it's own special charm. The warm sun on the porch was perfect for quite, reflective time. And sitting by the fire on the cool October evenings was so cozy and tranquil. Our time here was so blissful.
