St. Simons Island is a lovely beach community with small neighborhoods and individually owned condominiums with a village of shops and restaurants. Guests and residents walk and ride bikes down oak and palm tree-lined lanes and enjoy the serenity of being near the Atlantic Ocean. Ocean Walk Condominiums are a short walk or bike ride from the Village and pier area. Our bright and cheerful ground-floor unit is in a park-like setting and is just a few feet from a large heated pool, one of two pools in the complex. This unit has been completely renovated in October 2007. New flooring, bath room fixtures, new lighting, new paint and all new furniture including a king-size bed are ready to welcome you to this island retreat. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking that gourmet meal.

Within the complex, there are two pools (one heated), a fitness room with weights, treadmill and other equipment, newly resurfaced tennis courts and children’s playground. The clubhouse offers free wireless internet access and a well equipped business center. It has a large wrap-around porch with rocking chairs that overlook the duck and fishing pond. There is so much to do on St. Simons: golfing, fishing from the pier, deep sea fishing, water sports and an abundance of shopping. There are bike paths all over the island, so bring your bike and walking shoes. If you don't have a bike, there are plenty of places to rent them on the island. There are many historical sites to explore on the island or just a short day trip away. Cumberland Island, Jekyll Island, Little St. Simons, and Savannah offer adventures and more historical sites. My husband and I stayed here and it was just what we expected and the description clearly explained what to expect. It had a calm park-like atmosphere. The owner was very nice and worked with us very well! If you have kids it would be a great place to take them too. There is a playground and of course 2 pools. The only suggestion I would make is for updated exercise equipment. GREAT STAY!!

This unit is very nice and clean, and is conveniently located to the shops and restaurants of the village area. The kitchen could be equipped a little better, and there is no stereo, but all things considered it is a great value. The owner was very helpful with all of the rental details. I would stay there again. If you go, definitely rent bikes and definitely go to Jekyl island at low tide and walk the beach.
