House, 3 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

You feel as though you are stepping into another era when you walk through the door - except for for all the modern conveniences. Originally built in 1908, with soaring ceilings, beautiful moldings, original hardwood floors, this home is reminiscent of the past, while completely modern and appointed with new furnishings and appliances.

Located near the center of town on a quiet street in a lovely, friendly neighborhood. Walk to the coffee shop, grocery store, downtown area!

Enjoy sitting outside on lovely summer days on the large fenced in patio appointed with table, chairs, umbrella. Cook up a feast on the propane grill and enjoy dining 'al fresco'!

The home has been renovated with new paint, appliances, hardware, etc. The three generously sized bedrooms have queen beds and are handsomely appointed. Open, cheery kitchen with all the cookware and utensils you require. Large two car garage and plenty of parking.

Upstairs master has a beautiful mountain view and balcony. The other upstairs bedroom has a peek-a-boo view of the Strait. Bedroom on first level is perfect for those who have difficulty with stairs.

Home was purchased in 2008 and is fully furnished and appointed. New improvements are added every year.

I pride myself on providing a lovely, comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, immaculately clean home where guests can enjoy their much deserved vacations. I was born and raised in Alaska. When my father retired here in Port Angeles I frequently came to visit. I fell in love with Port Angeles (and grew weary of the long, cold Alaska winters!). I also fell in love with this home. I come down in the winters and enjoy this charming home. I hope you do too!

The Owner purchased this house in 2008

I love the small town nature of Port Angeles, being close to the water, hiking trails, and the friendly people here. Port Angeles appealed to me due to the friendly, quiet, peaceful nature of the town and surrounding area. Life seems to slow down here. The town is quaint, the setting gorgeous, with lots of activities to enjoy.

After looking at homes for almost a year, I chose this one - for it's location, for the fact that it was an older home with so much charm, because it had three bedrooms each which had it's own appeal, because it had 1.5 baths (many of the older homes here have three bedrooms and one bath), and it was on a quiet street with homes that showed pride of ownership.

I love the 'feel' of this old home, while enjoying the modern amenities. The neighbors are friendly; we wave and greet each other everyday. I love being able to walk to my gym, the store, downtown, the marina, the farmer's market, and to various events held in town. Never having lived within city limits, it's nice to be close to all it has to offer. Shortly after purchasing the home, I had a beautiful fence installed around the patio. Now the patio feels like an extension of the house and it's my favorite place to be on nice days. I love to garden and grow vegetables. Guests are welcome to harvest herbs and vegetables that are ready for harvesting!

Lovely, Comfortable And Convenient

My husband and I spent three months in this home and I could write the same review if we had spent three days, because you can quickly settle in and just start living, doing whatever you came to Port Angeles to do. The beds are comfortable, I tried all three, and had a good night's sleep every night. The shower is great, too. The house is spotless, very well maintained. These are the basics that can make or break a stay.

Beyond the basics--The kitchen is set up with more than you will need. I cooked in most days for three months, just had everything, pots, pans, crockpot, knives, cutting boards, etc., etc. Enough dishes to easily accommodate a dinner for three out of town guests and two guests from Port Angeles. There are two large grocery stores about 5 blocks away in either direction, too.

The house is lovely, as you can see from the pictures, but set up for comfort and convenience. The bedrooms upstairs are especially spacious, the half bath between them so nice to have. There are electrical outlets everywhere, not the norm in older houses, and the wifi is quick and dependable. The bedrooms all have their own heating controls, which my out of town guests loved, along with the mattresses. We had some days nice enough to sit in the back yard/patio, private and set up with table, chairs, even a little fountain.

You have the appealing decor, the very well maintained and updated condition of the home, and the comfort. What you also have is location. It is nine blocks or so from the main part of town with shops and places to eat (places scattered here and there for food and coffee on the way,) another block to the city pier, the bike and walking trail right there, the ferry to Vancouver Island down the street. You are near main roads to drive into the Olympics, Hurricane Ridge, around the western part of the peninsula to La Push, Quinault Rain Forest, too many places to mention here. What a lovely part of the world.

The owner, Janelle, has put much thought into making things just right and is open to anything else you might need. I was there for three months and couldn't think of anything else, it was all there. I can't imagine anywhere better to stay if you come to Port Angeles.

Enjoyed beautiful weather as we hiked trails on Hurricane Ridge. Now we are off to the rain forest. We loved the house - perfect for the three of us.

What a fantastic holiday we had in this lovely house.. A great place to base ourselves for the forests, mountains, and beaches. 2 1/2 weeks was not enough to explore this beautiful area. The house was absolutely perfect for our needs. I really loved the balcony off our bedroom.
