My chalet is a comfy and affordable 2 story A frame cabin, minutes from everything South Lake Tahoe has to offer, including the Heavenly Ski Resort, shops, casinos, and the beautiful lake. Bring the family. There are three bedrooms. The upstairs bedroom has a king size bed and television. Downstairs one bedroom has a twin bed and a twin bunk bed. The other bedroom has 2 queen sized beds. There is also a loft with a full sized futon. The house is over 1400 sq. feet. Fido a part of the family? Bring him too. There is an enclosed backyard so the kids and the pets can run around. My home comes equipped with a foosball table, soft tipped darts, and lots of boardgames for family bonding or those rare rainy days. There is also wireless internet. Watch the busy chipmunks and squirrels in the backyard while cooking with the Gas BBQ on the deck.

My chalet is located in a small neighborhood in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. It is about 2.5 miles from the Heavenly Ski Resort. The lake is just over 1.5 miles. Great if you decide to take the bike path to the lake during the summer or if you would like to take a nice walk. And of course the casinos and movie theaters are less than 4 miles away. The Neighborhood: My neighborhood is in small residential area of mostly A-frame style mountain homes. There is a large meadow a block away that is great for walks. Bijou Community Park is two small blocks away. It is most famous for its world class 27 hole championship disc golf course. At the park there is also a Dog Park, fitness trail, skateboard park, children’s playground, group picnic facilities, and an open meadow. Just past the Bijou Community Park is the Bijou Municipal Golf course, the Bowling Alley, the Ice skating rink, and pool.

Extrememly roomy!

This cabin was SO roomy and spacious! We had 7 people and a dog, and the cabin still had room to spare! It was also conveniently located to many attractions such as a park where you can take your dog, the lake, and the casinoes. Excellent cabin for the prices! We'll definitely be staying here again in the future!
Owner's Response: I am glad you had a wonderful time in my cabin. I think the comment I get most from guests is that my cabin looks small from the outside, but is very roomy on the inside.

Another plus for dogs, I hope to have the backyard fence back up before July 1, 2008. There is also a new dog park slated to open at the south entrance to Bijou Community Park (park next to my house) on July 1, 2008.

A Blast of a vacation with my 2 dogs !!!!

This was such a fun trip. I had never taken a trip with my dogs because there are not a lot of places that accept dogs. Once I found this cabin I couldn't wait to get in the car and head up to Tahoe!. This is so roomy and cozy and you have EVERYTHING right at your finger tips. This vacation was about relaxation and I did just that. My four legged girls had so much fun and it was great to see them so happy and enjoying vacation too. Thanks Barbara for the fun cabin and all the details given to make it a smooth vacation. I will be back up there as soon as I get another vacation. Thanks ~ Shelly, Bailey & Chesney !!!!

1st time is a charm!

This was our first time renting a home, it was usually hotel rooms for us on vacations. What a difference. It was so nice to be able to make home cooked meals and even bbq! I think the boys liked having two bathrooms, with three women, the bathroom can be tied up for quite a while.

The first thing the kids noticed was the foosball table, the competition was on! They also spotted the many pamphlets of activities in the area. My husband and I enjoyed being able to go to the masterbedroom and watch what we wanted on tv while the kids watched their favorite shows.

This location was close to many things to do. The kids went parasailing, we took a two hour cruise on the MS Dixie II and went from Zephyr Cove around Emeral Bay and back, what a breathtaking trip. On our last night, we took the kids over the Nevada line and had dinner at teh Hard Rock Cafe in Harvey's.

All in all, this was one of our best vacations ever and it's all due to being able to feel at home in this wonderfully cozy chalet.

This home had everything we needed from cookware and dishes to linens and extra blankets, washer & dryer, gas range, microwave, I could go on and on, but you should definitely check it out for yourself.

We spent Easter break at your cabin and it was great. Everything about it was perfect. It was very roomy and comfortable. All the appliances worked great. We even BBQ'd in the snow! We've tried a number of cabins over the past half dozen years, but we can stop looking. We hope to stay here again and again. Thank you for sharing it with us.
