At the entrance to the Princeville Community is a full service shopping center with a large grocery store, many specialty shops, restaurants, banks, gasoline station, post office and a library. Old Hanalei Town is just two miles down the road and is such fun to poke around in with it’s many shops and restaurants. The quaint village is a dream-like place on a half-moon bay with an un-crowded 3-mile white sand beach. I’ve lots of local info to share as to beaches, tours, lauas, hiking, kayaking and off-road adventures, arboretums & gardens.
We live in Vancouver, Washington. We are retired and love to spend winters at Princeville on Kauai's pristine north shore - the best spot in the Hawaiian Archipelago!
Verna Reid purchased this townhome in 2013
It's 1500 Sq. Ft. with Cathedral Ceiling in the Living Room provides the openness we were looking for. Lots of louvres on the windows for good cross ventilation when it's warm + overhead fans, if needed. Nice, new kitchen & with 3 Bedrooms we have space for family and friends when they wish to join us.
We are close to a 'walk to' beach, are within walking distance to the Princeville Shopping Center, to restaurants, the Post Office, Banks, Library and all amenities that Princeville has to offer.
Hello Verna, Just wanted you to know we had a fantastic time at the condo.
Kauai is beautiful. Thank You!
This was our first visit to the northern part of Kauai, and what an experience! This condo was a dream. It has been completely remodeled and has a wonderful, airy feel. With two bedrooms plus a large loft bedroom, two baths and a wonderful kitchen, we had all the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay. There is wi-fi, a 42" TV, and an electric BBQ to use as well. Each morning we awakened to the sounds of birds. The condo is close to beaches and shopping. On Saturday, we went to the farmer's market in Kilauea and bought fresh bread, flowers and produce. We visited the Princeville Center, with market and shops, and a really nice ice cream parlor with local flavors of coconut and macadamia nut ice cream. We visited and toured the Kilauea Light House, Anini Beach, and the botanical gardens. Helicopter rides and horseback riding are nearby as well. The Westin Princeville is adjacent to the condo and has an amazing view of the ocean and beach below, plus a nice restaurant and bar. On Monday night, we visited a local bar, the Tahiti Mui, and enjoyed the wonderful entertainment and an excellent pizza. All in all, this was a place we plan to return to again and again.
We had a relaxing and fun respite from Wisconsin. Just a short walk or drive to the beach or you can drive to beautiful Hanalei or other attractions. The condo was beautifully furnished and everything we could have hoped for. A bargain at the price.
Property is beautiful and modern and provides the comforts as if you were in your own home. Bed is luxury resort quality, combine that with quiet peaceful complex and I was rested and refreshed. I enjoyed so much nearby: world class beaches a walk or short drive away (lots of days at beach, favorite was Hanalei Bay, classified as world's best beach by several travel magazines), 10 minute drive to Hanelei Farmers Market where I ate apple bananas, had fun at Tahiti Nui Hanalei Restaurant where you can listen to live music in a great atmosphere. I've already referred friends & family here.
Lovely condo at a quiet location with close access to Anini Beach which is Princeville's best kept secret. The beach is placid and inviting yet sparsely populated when we were there. The owners focused on comfort and decor when updating this dwelling. Close by there are farmers markets for those who like to cook. In Hanalai there are excellent restaurants like Post Cards and Tahiti Nui for those who want others to cook. The Kalalau Trail is a short distance for those who enjoy the challenge of a trail with a good vertical component. For photographers there is a Kilauea Lighthouse, aerobatic birds and the Princeville Botanical Gardens close by. I am looking forward to a return visit to this lovely condo.
My stay at the condo was absolutly fabulous. First of all it is a beautiful space. It was clean and well maintained. The feeling I had upon entering was of being in a high end luxury home. The condo has 2 large bedrooms. Upstairs is a large master suite with tons of closet space and a balcony complete with lounge chairs. The second bedroom although not a master suite is located adjacent ot a bathroom so it I very convenient as well. The bathrooms appeared to be brand new and each contained bronze fixtures with gigantic rainfall showerheads along with hand sprayers. There is a loft area overlooking the lower level that contains another large bed. The condo felt open and airy.
I awoke every morning of the week I spent there to the lovely sounds of birds chirping outside the windows. I found the condo very quiet and peaceful both morning and night.
I loved the location as it was within walking distance of the Pricebville Shopping Center where there are restaurants, gift shops and an ice cream parlor with the most amazing flavors. Annini Beach is also located within walking distance of the condo. Because the Condo is located just across the parking lot from The Westin Hotel, I popped over there for drinks by the pool one day. It was very nice. While there I able view the beach about 200 feed below. By the way the condo complex also has a pool but I did not take advantage of it. Reserved parking for this condo unit is just steps from the front door.
Many island attractions are located within driving distance of the Condo. Helicopter tours, zip lining, farmers markets, botanical gardens and the like are all within 30 minutes by car.. All in all I had a wonderful time on Kaua'i and I look forward to my next opportunity to visit the island and stay at this fabulous Princeville Condo once again. I give it my highest recommendation.
We so enjoyed our vacation in Princeville at our lovely, spacious condo! The four of us agreed (two couples) we felt comfortable and welcome as soon as we turned the key and opened the door to our new Hawaiian digs. Very beautiful newly upgraded bathrooms--nice rich tiling and walk-in showers, comfy beds, nice soft sheets, fluffy pillows, lots of closet space and shelves. Kitchen has granite counters, stainless appliances, cool kitchen/dining table. We slept well in this quiet, peaceful setting. Love the morning songbirds and roosters--sweet! A very nice happy hour at Westin next door gives that authentic island feel. We loved that hikes and beaches abound nearby. Our favorite walking, beaching, snorkeling, paddle boarding beach was Anini Beach within walking distance. Excellent farmers markets lush with fresh and exotic produce. We liked local Halalei and Kilauea. Thumbs up on condo and every other aloha experience.
