About Djuna Perkins

I am a lawyer living near Boston with my husband and three children, but I grew up in Woodstock, New York.

Djuna Perkins purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Djuna Perkins chose Becket

Living and working in the city, I missed the country and thought the best way to teach my kids to care for the earth was to make sure they had a place where they could actually see and appreciate the natural world, and where we could all get away from the madness of the electronic world.

What makes this cabin unique

This cabin is an incredibly restful place. From the breeze on the screened porch to the unbelievable stars and the air at night, to the simplicity of its furnishings, it is just the place to get away from it all and remember who you are.

Truth In Advertising

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the end of June and were delighted to find the cabin as advertised; clean, neat and with every convenience but, thankfully, with no Internet. Enjoyed the canoe and the many cultural offerings nearby. The owners put a great deal of thought into their home, and it shows. Reasonably priced in a funky, eclectic development. Would definitely stay again.

Winter Wonderland

  • 4 of 5

We stayed this past weekend at this beautiful cabin and it was a great experience! We were looking for a quiet and relax place to spend my bday weekend and this was exactly what we got! We arrived at night and when we woke up everything around us was a white winter wonderland, (covered in snow) it was beautiful! The cabin was clean and very comfortable. We definitely are looking forward to coming back in the summer! =) Thank you Djuna!

Great Secluded Winter Desitination for R&R

  • 5 of 5

The place was very cute and a perfect secluded destination for a relaxing weekend. Djuna, the owner, is very sweet and accommodating. If there is any issue, there is someone that lives in the neighborhood that can come right over to take care of anything, We will definitely we staying there again!!

Very comfortable cabin close to Jacob's Pillow etc

  • 5 of 5

Every amenity provided in this clean, well-kept cabin. The location was perfect for us: quiet, plenty of pleasant walking on dirt roads, clean lakes, and very convenient to Jacob's Pillow (10 min drive) and an easy drive north to Williamstown.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This was exactly what we were looking for in a getaway rental! The place was exactly as described and every bit of the transaction went by without a hitch. The house was cozy with every amemity we seemed to think of (from the canoe to the milkshake maker).

And of course, the surroundings were charming. What a better place to roam around than Sherwood Forest.

Very agreeable price, a reasonable pet policy (I think the pet had an equally good time) with very pleasant management. I would definitely recommend to friends.
