Very clean and beautifully maintained! The views are the best on Newfound lake! We wish we could live here!

Newfound Lake is one of the cleanest glacial lakes in the world and the 3rd largest in NH. You will be delighted by its sparkling water, beautiful sandy beaches, and tranquil country setting.

Child friendly, swim, boat, water ski, tube, canoe, fish, hike, bike, golf, antique shops, country fairs, great restaurants, lots of rest!

Day Trip - Winnepesauke, Golden Pond, Fun Spot, Cog Railway, Clarks' Trading Post, Polar Caves, Santa's Village, Mt. Cardigan, Sculptured Rocks, Welton Falls, and Much more!

Other Activities: Family friendly with outdoor fireplaces for marshmallow roasts, cookouts, lawns for play and games

Golf: There are several golf courses in the area that are open to the public. Rates are reasonable. Try White Mountain Country Club, Ragged Mountain, Wakewan, Mouselauke, to name a few.

Ski: Ragged Mountain is about 15 minutes. Waterville Valley and Loon are about 40. Many ski areas offer gondola rides, zip lines and fall activities too!

The expectation is - the residence, will be clean upon guests' arrival and guests should plan to leave it clean and ready for the next guest upon departure. Cooking and dining needs,comforters, blankets, bed pads, pillows, shower curtains, and cleaning supplies are provided. This condo is perfect for a family with children or anyone who wishes to use a canoe or sailboat right from the rental. It is also an excellent base for exploring the White Mountain area.
The owner is extremely friendly and accommodating which is very important when coming from a distance and/or renting sight unseen.
The little town of Bristol and the Newfound Lake Country store have excellent light food at reasonable prices. More expensive restaurants are also in the area, but with young children we did not go to those. Take out is available from most. There is a modern full service grocery store very near.
The conditions of the condo were exactly as described.
Only down side to location is that all the condos in the association are either attached or very close together. As long as one knows that it is not a problem, but there is a great deal of 'sharing' of space on the site.
We will have no hesitation about renting this property again or recommending it to others.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: We sincerely appreciate such wonderfull feedback from our guests and feel fortunate to be able to share this idyllic location with them. There are 14 untis (5 of which are rentals) in 2 buildings on 1.6 acres with 300 ft. of waterfront. There tends to be very full occupancy during the last 2 weeks of July and first 2 of August which is desirable for some because they meet other families and children play together on the beach and grounds or around the fireplaces in the evening. Many new friendships have started here some lasting over 30 years!
Because there are 3 attached units, guests often rent all 3 resulting in everyone close to them being associated with their group. There is an end unit which has more private space in front of it and one closest to our personal unit which has very low occupancy. This experience describes the middle unit which does have other guests on either side and can feel a bit squeezed.
For a quieter experience, a little earlier or later in the season may also be a good option.
We enjoyed meeting our guests and are very pleased to hear they enjoyed their vacation and would like to return, and thank them for taking the time to send this review!

Lakefront as you hoped it would be.

My wife and I stayed over Labor Day weekend 2009 and truly hope to be back every year. The units are clean, homey and comfortable. The views of the lake with the mountains in the distance are as pretty as scenery you might see in a movie. Truly quaint and restful. It really was like escaping from the hustle and bustle of today to a slower, quieter and indulgent time gone past. The owner is most generous, helpful and easy to get along with. I truly hope you can experience this place as long as you don`t take our time.

We have been vacationing here for 4 years and wouldn't consider anywhere else.The condos are well maintain and offer all the comforts of home. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. Our friends were so impressed on one visit they now rent each summer. Newfound lake is scenic and pristine. I must say though that my favorite part of each day is enjoying the beautiful sunsets that glow on our beach as the sun creeps behind the mountains each evening. Go and enjoy, You'll be glad you did,

Very enjoyable and relaxing vacation

We stayed for the first time last year (2008) at property #182010 on Newfound Lake. We had rented two of these properties together with my brother and sister as we try to get together every year for one week of relaxation and for all the kids to have a place to enjoy a summer vacation. This was a great place to take them. The units are very well kept and clean. The description of the property is very accurate. The whole area is very well-maintained and we were well taken care of. We would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a clean and well-maintained spot. The beach area is very clean and of course the water was very enjoyable to swim or just sit and watch the boats go by. Can't wait to go back this summer. We have already booked two of the units and another one elsewhere on the same property.
