Owner's Response: I am very sorry that you had this experience. We try very hard to make our guest's stay pleasant and inviting. If I had been called or alerted to this problem, I would have responded by contacting management and groundskeeping. The home office, which is there from 9:00am to 4:00pm 5 days a week, could have resolved the sanitary problem if they had been contacted. Our complex is older, but the management and owners are very actively pursuing its "remaking".
A major repainting will begin this Oct.-Nov. The indoor pool and hot-tub is heated by state-of-the-art solar panels, the only approved commercial application of a solar heated hot-tub. The tennis courts are professionally surfaced. The swimming pools have both been resurfaced with new fencing around them. Trails are lighted with decorative light posts. In order to abide by the island's laws of not removing animals from the island, the complex has been participating in a feral cat program this past year. This is an undertaking that prevents the cats from being euthanized but, there are still management issues to be learned and we are making adjustments. Our unit is on the second floor and that is stated in the ad. It is checked that this unit is not handicapped accessible. We try to be as accurate as possible with our descriptions and pictures. A phone call to me upon arrival or when the cat problem was first noticed would have greatly been appreciated so that that part of the grievance could have been corrected. Additional landscaping has been scheduled for after the major paint project which will be completed by the end of this year, at the latest.
