The Old Market area is host to an amazing array of sidewalk restaurants, small pubs, and also elegant dining establishments.
If you are a train traveler, this townhouse is conveniently across the street from Omaha's Amtrak Station.
You will feel at home and very comfortable during your visit to Omaha if you are able to secure this townhouse for your lodging.
Our family of seven made the trip from San Antonio and Fort Worth for a memorial service with a 3-night stay. We originally had hotel reservations for three rooms but decided on all staying under one roof where we could spend the time together. We chose this location because it is close to a lot of places to eat and see in that part of Omaha, while still being able to quickly get to other parts of town.
The townhome was perfect for us since we all had our own bedrooms and bathrooms, and we could have privacy or hang out with everyone in the kitchen and living area. The home actually has more space than the pictures indicate and is furnished in a very comfortable, clean, and welcoming manner. Our four-year-old grandson especially enjoyed playing with all of the toys available and watching the trains pass by. Our first night we found the trains' horns a little disrupting, but after that we didn't seem to notice as much. I did want to mention that there are stairs to negotiate with three levels, so anybody with mobility issues may have a problem.
We would definitely rent again and recommend this townhome to anyone looking for a very nice and reasonable place to stay while visiting Omaha. The owner was very good to work with and very professional and responsive. My wife and I are originally from Omaha and this location is great for a family or group that may not be as familiar with Omaha and wanting to experience the different attractions in the area.
We stayed here for Valentines weekend with our family. Couldn't have a better location. Walked to Quest Center and Old Market at night. We will stay here again.
Everything is as listing described. Thanks for a great place.
Five of us stayed very comfortably at this town home near downtown Omaha. Our travel party included my wife and I, two high school age sons and Grandma. Plenty of space for everyone and all the comforts of home. Great location and very clean and well maintained. We'll be back!
My family, two adults and two teenage children, had a very comfortable stay at this home while visiting Omaha.
The listing description is accurate. Actually, the photos and description are only a small sample of what this great home has to offer! There was a collective "wow" when we stepped in the door for the first time, and that sentiment continued as we became acquainted with the remainder of the home.
The owner is very easy to deal with, any questions were quickly answered. The booking process was smooth and easy to understand.
The location is great, I can't imagine there would be a spot that could be more convenient to the main attractions in Omaha. The Old Market, the Art Museum and the Durham museum are within walking distance (10-20 mins). Both the Zoo and the Lauritzen Gardens are a short and easy drive away.
We really enjoyed the view from the front porch; it provides a great vista of the city skyline along with views of train traffic passing by in the foreground. Upon visiting Omaha, it quickly becomes evident just how integral railways are to the past and present of this city. One sees it all from that porch, the original passenger stations, the new Amtrak station, the trains, the down town office towers and the more recent residential developments. For a tourist, that view is a great connection to what Omaha was and is. That said, train noise is a non issue, both inside and outside, of the house.
The small patio and the rear of the home is a nice sunny spot to enjoy a morning coffee along with fresh breads from the nearby bakery.
That nearby bakery is Orsi's. It is just down the lane and is unbeatable for pizza and breads. It is a friendly place, we really enjoyed our conversations with the owner of this establishment.
Patrick's market, nearby in the Old Market, is a convenient spot for groceries and carries a nice selection of gourmet foods and wines.
I would recommend this property to anyone. It is especially suited to families and we really appreciated that.
It was our first time to visit Omaha for my family ( 3 families)and we lived in this gorgeous home.
The owner was very nice and generous to us- allowing us to use all items at the home, very accommodating and flexible.
We had a great time; the kids had a lot of fun with the toys in the home.
The home is located in a very good area near most of the places wee wanted to visit-zoo, museum,…..
I highly recommend the home to everyone visiting Omaha – you will not regret.
We took our 18 year old son and his friends to the college world series for his senior trip and we absolutely had a marvelous time. We were just far enough away from the field to get out of the traffic and get a little exercise at the same time. (1.4 miles)
The townhouse was in great shape and looked as if it had just been remodeled. We had all the essential supplies we needed and the owner was very quick to respond to any questions. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Omaha.
