Golf Details:
A purist's dream, The Bald Head Island course is a seaside masterpiece located on the southernmost of North Carolina cape islands. Like the links courses of Ireland and Scotland, seven holes stretch across rolling dunes overlooking the ocean. The course wraps around fifteen freshwater lagoons and winds through a magnificent maritime forest with perhaps the finest stand of live oaks... anywhere. Architect George Cobb, consultant to Augusta National, left the land the way he found it, carved by wind and water. The ocean wind generally plays a role in club selection and shot making. At 6,844 yards, with a slope rating of 137 from the championship tees, it provides four sets of tees for players of all abilities and allows play to proceed at a relaxing pace with rarely an occasion when a preferred tee time is not available. And after your round the club's restaurants and bars offer a tasty variety of food and drink.
Bald Head Island Club:
Family fun is the theme of the recreation complex at our club. Facilities include a 25-meter pool, tennis courts with state of the art cushioned surfaces and a championship croquet greensward. Expanded poolside lunch menus and pool service will be featured this year. Junior clinics for golf, tennis and croquet will be held each week throughout the summer. Practice lessons with our golf and tennis pros are also available for both children and adults. During the season, Camp Bald Head is open Monday through Friday (and some evenings) for children and features water sports/games, arts and crafts, field trips and a fun learning experience about Bald Head wildlife and environment through the staff at the Bald Head Island Conservancy. Evening activities are planned on Thursday-Saturday affording parents an opportunity for a night out at the club.
Shoals Club:
