Guestbook comments from the owner
The house was clean and well kept. Also the location was great, just a short walk from the beach. The sunset room was my favourite spot to read and take in the views in the morning. The kitchen was fully equipped so I could make meals and save money on my trip. The gas fireplace gave the place a homey, cabin feel and the living room was spacious. Checking in and out was easy and the owner responded quickly to my request to stay there for the weekend when I booked really late (responded in less that 24 hours which eased my mind cause I didn't know where else to stay). You can skip a ferry toll by driving onto the Island through deception pass, which is worth seeing with stunning views. (Although the ferry takes you directly to Clinton)
I explored the whole Island and if you stay here you should definitely check out the cute towns of Coupeville and Langley. I would recommend eating at Knead and Feed in Coupeville and eating at Prima Bistro in Langley. There are cute shops and antique stores to explore in both towns and beach walks. Oak Harbour was disappointing for almost all the stores in the historic downtown area are closed and the buildings left for lease.
In conclusion I would come back to this vacation rental for a weekend trip again, it was worth it.
