Incredible Stay!
My husband and I stayed here for five nights this month and absolutely loved it! Everything is even better than described! The view is incredible, looking directly out onto the beach. We watched dolphins from our balcony one morning! The condo was very clean and well maintained. It had lots of little extras- soap, dish detergent, laundry detergent, paper towels, salt and pepper, beach chairs, and umbrella! We asked Kaye after we arrived about where to get tennis equipment. She arranged for the condo to have two racquets and tennis balls for us to use, which we thoroughly enjoyed!
The condo area was beautiful. It was fairly quiet while we were there. There are two pools and the heated pool was the primary one we used. The private beach is just across a little road that was always easy to cross. About a 3 minute walk from the condo. The beach was not busy at all and there were several times when we were the only ones on the beach! The weather was VERY windy while we were there (20-30 mph) and kept us from enjoying the beach fully every day, but we were thrilled to still be able to enjoy it from our room when it became too windy to stay out.
One thing we did not expect was to have a private cabana room by the pool. There is another key after you get into the condo for a sitting area/bathroom that are locked and private just for you by the pool. It was wonderful! We often put the beach chairs/umbrella in there for ease of taking them back and forth to the beach. This was well maintained and a wonderful addition to the condo!
We highly recommend Dewey Destin seafood. That was our favorite restaurant! It was by far the best seafood my husband said he'd ever had! We weren't thrilled with McGuire's Irish Pub and both disliked Fudpucker's. We cooked a lot in the condo and all the pans/pots included made it easy to do this. We went parasailing with Just Chute Me and had a good time. We also went to Hurricane Lanes for bowling, pool, and ping pong, which was a lot of fun. Lots of little things to do around the area!
My husband is already talking about wanting to go back to Destin next year and stated he can't imagine staying anywhere else! Thanks for a great place to stay for our first wedding anniversary! I'm sure we will be returning soon!
