Close to the coast and on the lake...Swan Lake!:
Loon's Call is only 8 miles from Route 1. You can shop along the coast, then escape the crowds and noise by retreating to the lake. Once you see how beautiful the long views of Swan Lake are from all three levels of our home, you may find it hard to leave! Also, Swan Lake is one of Maine's cleanest. Come check it out, we are perfectly situated on Maine's midcoast, near Belfast, equidistant from Freeport and Bar Harbor.
Kids LOVE Loon's Call!!!:
We have two docks, a beach area with easy entry into the lake, a boat launch and a boat mooring. One dock is 'fixed' (extends from the shore) and the other is a floating dock. Kids love to run and jump off of the fixed dock....over and over again. Older kids swim to the floating dock for a little change while little kids love to splash around at the beach area. Both docks and the beach area are visible from cozy adirondack chairs on the front lawn.
The expansive front lawn is perfect for a game of wiffle ball or bocci and after a day of swimming, a cozy campfire with s'mores is always a big hit.
This is a vacation that everyone will remember! Bring your cameras, the kids will be talking about this one for a long time!
You won't 'rough it' at Loon's Call!:
Our views are over the widest part of the lake, over a mile to the other side. Also, our proximity to the coast provides a gentle breeze every afternoon. We don't ask you to 'rough it' while on vacation and we don't employ a rental agency. We want your vacation to be special, please give us the opportunity to spoil you and your family.
Ski:
Hermon Mountain is about 45 minutes away and the Camden Snow Bowl (ski resort with views of the ocean) is only 40 minutes away. Right out the front door you can enjoy ice skating and cross country skiing!
Golf:
Searsport Pines is a great course and only about 15 minutes away. Country View Golf Course is only 25 minutes away, very scenic and on the way to our favorite orchard, 'Mainely Apples.'
