IDEAL LAKEFRONT SUMMER HOME WITH 75 FT OF SHALLOW SANDY SWIMMING

We have spent the last few years on Lake St. Catherine- a lovely smaller lake to the south- and did not know what to expect from Bomoseen or this camp but were pleasantly surprised. The cozy nook is a wonderful small house that never feels anything but spacious. The bedrooms were well appointed and the common areas-kitchen and amazing screened-in-porch-accomodated anywhere from 4-9 well. Because we had children here the waist level sand bar was an extra special treat both because of the easy/safe swimming as well as the neat "diving for treasues" opportunities it provided. This more than outweighed the fact that kids couldn't "jump" off the floating dock etc and made for hours of entertainment in the lake. It is also relatively calm here and adjoins a stream with lilly pads about 1/4-1/2 mile away making it ideal for kayaking and even otter observation. The owners live next door and were very helpful during all of our stay. Although there is a small dirt road between camp and large lawn, that actually was a bonus keeping the house/porch quiet and separated from the water-front. I think we saw maybe 15 cars cross in front of the house all week so we never felt that the kids were in danger. We would recommend this to a couple, small group of friends or even a slightly larger family.
