...that's how I would describe our time at Casa Perla and La Cruz. We were a group of 40-something high school girlfriends getting together for a "girls' week" in Mexico--or, more appropriately put, a "moms' week off" vacation. I found Casa Perla simply by searching online. I still can't believe how lucky I was to have come across this house and Amy and Bill Welch. Simply put, the house was awesome and our time in Mexico was amazing. We chose to have the maid come every day and the cook to come in one night for a relaxing dinner served in the palapa. For five moms, it was a perfect vacation...no cleaning, no cooking, and no kids to look after. Just hanging out at the pool was heavenly. I stayed in the room located below the palapa and enjoyed an outdoor shower every day.
Renting the minivan with the house was convenient and gave us the freedom of travel. It was there at the airport when we arrived. We stopped at the Mega Comercial in Bucerias on the way to the house, loading up with groceries and drinks. We also were able to drive up to Salulita, about 20 minutes north, where we enjoyed a day on the beach and a nice dinner.
Thank you to Gabby, the local property manager. She was helpful and very friendly.
We are all looking forward to possibly doing it all again next year. And if we do, we will definitely rent Casa Perla, again.
