This two story Victorian style villa is situated on historic Cupid's Cay at Governor's Harbour Eleuthera. Suncrest House overlooks the Caribbean Sea and some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. Cupid's Cay is a small cay originally connected to the township of Governor's Harbour by a causeway. Cupid's Cay is touted as the birthplace of the Bahamas as it is widely believed that William Sayle first stopped here on his trip with a band of religious pilgrims in search of freedom of worship. Eleuthera -a Greek word meaning freedom was so named by William Sayle. Cupid's Cay and Governor's Harbour is a beautiful seaside town with Victorian style houses strewn along the waterfront and hillside. The 110 year old Haynes library is situated in Governor's Harbour. Twin Coves beach and The French Leave beach are both situated on the north side of Governor's Harbour. Here you can walk to most places in town but would need a car for exploring the 100 mile long island and its 50 beaches!!

Cupid's Cay At Governor's Harbour is the oldest settlement on Eleuthera where the pilgrims-Eleutheran Adventurers- landed in 1648. From Suncrest House you you are in walking distance to the Haynes library where there is a weekly gathering of Eleuthera lovers from all over the world. There is a beach just steps from the library on both sides and everything else is found in Governor's Harbour from shopping to water sports like bonefishing to deep sea fishing. Many restaurants are in the general area of Governor's Harbour and of course food stores, gift shops and the famous Fish Fry every Friday night . This quaint town with it's New England look has a picturesque hillside with victorian design houses and lots of friendly people.

We had a fantastic time staying in this villa- it had everything you would want in a home: views, laundry room, two bathrooms and beautiful decor. The owner and her daughter treated us like we were family.

We took a rental car all over the island and it was so nice to come back "home" at the end of the day. We have three little children and they loved it too.

You really get a taste of the island people and experience Govenor's Harbour staying here.

Again, we had a fantastic, amazing and wonderful time!!! We can't wait to come back.
