Plan your vacation to a great getaway at Lake Michigan! This condo has been recently decorated with fresh paint, new kitchen cupboards and a tan Berber carpet. Located about 1.5 miles northeast of the town of Glen Arbor, 3 miles from the famous Dunes Climb, 16 miles south of Leland's 'Fish Town' and about 28-35 miles west of Traverse City and it's airport. Ideal for 1 or 2 couples or a small family. It contains: 2 Bedrooms each with a queen bed and full bath (one bedroom and bath are on upper loft level). In addition, these is a queen size sofa bed in family room. Kitchen with oven/range, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, blender, and coffee maker. Also includes washer and dryer, towels, bed linens, paper products, wood burning fireplace, cable TV, CD, DVD & VHS players.

Located in the Homestead Resort near Glen Arbor MI in a wooded, natural setting, with a deck overlooking the pristine Crystal River, a short 2 minute walk to Lake Michigan's beautiful golden sandy beach and sparkling clear blue waters. The clear night sky is as star bright as you will ever find. Friday nights during the summer the 'Beach Beards' tell tall tales, play music, and recite poetry for adults and children around a communal campfire. The town of Glen Arbor about a mile away offers free tennis courts, a fitness center, a children's playground, wi-fi at the local coffee house, restaurants for every taste from the very casual Arts tavern open 24 hours, to the comfortable family dining of Boone Docks with it's evening live folksy music, to the upscale dining of Western Avenue Grill. Down Lake Street from Arts is the world famous Cherry Republic, a must experience! Glen Arbor offers a fishing boat excursion, kayak, river tubing and bike rentals, 2 marinas with boats for rent.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Fall Color Tours are (minimum) 3 nights, for $650.
    Extra nights are $215 + 6% Tax.

    A security deposit of $250 is required with the final payment and will be refunded within 2 weeks of the end of the rental period, unless damages beyond ordinary wear and tear occur.

    Rents are subject to an added 6% Michigan use tax.
  • Reservations are confirmed upon the owners receipt of one half of the rent + 6% tax of that payment. The balance of the rent, the 6% tax and the security deposit is due 3 weeks before the rental period begins. A rental agreement will be mailed to the renter upon the owners receipt of the confirmation payment (the initial payment). When full payment is received 2 keys will be mailed to the tenant renter.

    Cancellations:
    In the event of a cancellation by the prospective tenant renter his renter's deposit will only be refunded due to the death of an immediate family member (evidenced by a death certificate) or to the extent the landlord is able to obtain a replacement for the rental period.

The main attraction of the area is Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Park. The park has: hiking trails through unspoiled wood, meadows, sand dunes and shoreline (favorites include Pyramid Pt. & Empire Bluffs trails); Pierce-Stocking Scenic Drive with high overlooks of Lake Michigan and the Glen Lakes. The park headquarters has a small but delightful natural history museum of the area and provides information about ranger guided walks.

The condominium is about 1/2 hour from Traverse City with it's movie houses, large malls, numerous restaurants, shops (on Front St.) and other facilities catering to summer fun. The condominium is also about 1/2 hour from the world renown music camp Interlochen which produces many acclaimed musical events and brings in famous entertainers for the public. An outdoor movie theater is located just outside the town of Honor within a 1/2 hour from the condo. From Fish Town in Leland take the Ferry and visit South Manitou Island and see the partially sunken Freighter just off the Island's coast. Visit the many fine wineries in the country side. Bring your golf clubs for the golf courses that are all over the general area.
