Four Swimming Pools Available.

The Ocean Edge Resort maintains three outdoor pool areas and one indoor pool, all available to guests renting this condo. Pool passes are provided. The nearest pool area, the Fletcher Pool complex, is only about 1/2 mile from this condo, an easy walk. It includes both indoor and outdoor pools, children's pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, men's and women's toilets with changing rooms, lockers, showers and saunas, a snack bar, and scores of lounge chairs for those who just want to laze-away in the warm summer sun. Patio tables with umbrellas are also available.

Walking, Jogging, Running, Riding, etc.

Ocean Edge was built around an old mansion estate. There are paved sidewalks and roadways throughout the complex that make it easy to enjoy self-propelled activities of all kinds. Best of all, they connect nicely with the fabulous Cape Cod Rail Trail, that goes from mid-Cape to Truro, about 20 miles in all. If you like to ride, run or walk, you'll love it here.

About Brewster, MA

Brewster is famous for being an old sea captains town. It was home for many 19th century voyagers whose profession was well rewarded financially, as evidenced by the lovely mansions and stately residences they left behind. The slower, less-commercialized pace of this still-quaint village differs in sharp contrast to other Cape towns that have been less reluctant to sacrifice their old-world roots in order to exploit desirable beaches as vacation destinations. Brewster's beaches are all on the bayside of the Cape, with gentler, warmer water than those facing the Atlantic Ocean. The legendary Brewster 'flats' extend well over 1-mile into the bay during low-tide, and provide the adventurous with a fascinating hands-on laboratory for natural discovery in and greater appreciation of a living, dynamic seashore.

Brewster Whitecaps Baseball

Ambitious baseball players from colleges across the country compete to be on one of the Cape Cod Baseball League's various teams each summer -- teams like the Brewster Whitecaps, the local favorite. With games played 6-days a week, there is a good chance you could see one of tomorrow's up and coming major league stars playing here this summer. Games run from early-June through early August, cost practically nothing, and are very well attended by locals and visitors alike. If you like good baseball between well-matched teams made up of handsome, young, and very talented athletes -- all aspiring to become pros someday -- you'll love watching the Brewster Whitecaps win the Cape Cod Baseball League Championship in 2009. Go Whitecaps!

The Brewster Ladies Library

Anybody who reads loves the Brewster Ladies Lending Library, especially if they happen to be on Cape on a rainy day. Its a local treasure; well-stocked; brightly lit; spacious lounges; and staffed by friendly, helpful professional librarians. It doesn't get much better than this in libraryland.

Nickerson State Park, in Brewster!

Here is another great treasure on the Cape, wisely sequestered from commercial and residential development by far-sighted naturalists living in an earlier era. Nickerson State Park has much enjoyment to offer those who love being outdoors: hiking trails, horseback riding, fresh-water ponds and beaches, nature talks, bike and canoe-rentals, campsites, etc. And best of all, this condo is only a short walk from all that Nickerson has to offer. Guests can walk out of Ocean Edge through a nearby emergency-vehicle-only access gate, cross over Millstone Rd, and begin exploring exploring along the well-maintained trails inside Nickerson State Park in less than 10-minutes! We've seen deer, raccoons, rabbitts, squirrels, etc., all without even trying. If you just need to get away from it all for awhile, or want to get an up-close-and-personal view of the way things were once upon a time, this place is hard to beat.
