This great new cabin, completed in Jan 2008, has all the amenities of home. It is located in the Deer Mountain resort area, just a 15 minute drive to downtown Deadwood, yet located on 5 acres in the trees. The view is beautiful from any of the 3 different level decks. The lower level deck has the Hot Tub, great for those cold

winter nights, or the cool summer evenings. There is a 2 car garage next to the cabin for your use while your

there. The cabin is located in the north central Black Hills, a 45 min. trip takes you to the Custer area and Mount Rushmore, but hurry back, Spearfish canyon is just 4 miles south, one of the most scenic drives in the hills. There is 1 golf course within 5 min, and 3 more within 30 min., the Michelson trail is just a couple miles away, for hiking and biking, and sometimes just a walk thru the woods near the cabin is most relaxing.

We are located in the north central Black Hills 15 min. to Deadwood ( old west style gambling town) and we are

4 miles from the south end of Spearfish Canyon one of the most scenic drives in the Hills. There is fishing within

4 miles, the nearest golf course is 5 min. away, and there are 3 more within 30 min. Deadwood is full of gold town history along with Wild Bill , Calamity Jane, and many other old west characters. Mount Rushmore is just

45 min. away, along with many lakes and beautiful scenery

We rented Big Sky with 4 other couples in July of 2009. The internet picture did not do it justice. It was clean, decorated beautifully, in a great setting with lots of pines and what a view off the decks. We used the huge hot tub at night, very relaxing. The kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed a meal in Lead at the Stone Mill, casual and decent prices. A few of us played slots in the fun town of Deadwood. The owner sent us a very accurate map and it was easy to find. We kept in contact with the owner through email and he responded with in a day.
I would recommend Big Sky
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers
