Bright, modern apartment with garden, sleeps 2-4

Close to London's historic heart, this very popular modern apartment is a five-minute walk from the Tower of the London, the River Thames and many of London's top tourist attractions. It is on a quiet, private street, but just a few minutes walk from a large supermarket, local shops and post office, bars and restaurants. Tower Hill tube station is 8-10 minutes walk away and public transport links are very good. The apartment was recently refurbished to the highest standards with a wall-mounted foldaway double bed and a double sofa bed - ideal for 2 people, but still comfortable for 4. The living room is light and spacious with digital TV and DVD. The bathroom has under-floor heating, a powerful shower and hairdryer; the kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, oven, microwave and washing machine. The apartment has central heating and a garden with BBQ. All bedding is provided, as well as a welcome basket of groceries. We accept all credit and debit cards via Paypal.

Arrivals and departures: Check-in is after 12 noon and check-out is 10am.

To facilitate late/unpredictable arrivals there is a key safe at the property, and the secret code is provided once a secure booking has been made. This allows guests to access the property at their own convenience.

Nous sommes très satisfaits de notre séjour chez Linda, le quartier est vraiment très agréable et nous étions très bien situé. La premiere station de métro est à 15 mn de marche Tower hill) en traversant les docks, où nous avons trouvé un très joli pub!,Un supermarché ) à 5 mn un endroit hors du temps.
L'appartement est très bien agencé et satisfaisant pour 1 couple et 2 ados. Nous reviendrons très certainement.Merci encore à Linda pour son assistance...pour récuperer les clés!

GOOD ACCOMMODATION IN A GREAT LOCATION!

We are a family of four (2 adults, 2 children) and it was perfect for us. It's a studio, but it has everything you need, with lots of storage space. And it was warm! 10/15 minutes walk to Tower Hill station; St Katherine's Dock and Tower Bridge are nearer. I would definitely recommend this place and will hopefully be back soon.

ONE EX PAT RETURNING WITH HER GIRLS

I brought my girls from Texas to see where I grew up. We spent 10 days in this apartment/flat.
The flat was small but cosy. The kitchen was very well equipped as was the bathroom. We had a small issue with the futon, but it worked out ok.

As far as the area, we had an absolute blast!

4 pubs and a grocery store within a few minutes walking distance. The Cape; The Captain Kidd; The Prospect of Whitby (if you want some real history) and The White Swan and Cuckoo. Waitrose grocery store is right across from The Cape. Then, of course, Tower Bridge, The Tower of London, St. Katherine's Dock and Tower Hill tube station are all within 10 minutes walking distance.

We were three adults staying there and that worked out fine, but any more than that would be very cramped.

The only thing Linda couldn't do anything about was the weather, it was cold and raining most of the time, but it didn't dampen our spirits.

GREAT LONDON BARGAIN!

My 15 year old son and I just stayed a week in this bright, sunny and quiet flat and couldn't have felt more at home. The flat is small but well equipped, particularly the kitchen, and is a great place to return to after a long day's sightseeing. The location is very quiet while at the same time being close to many sites and is convenient to the Circle and District lines at Tower Hill, the Thames Clipper boats at Tower Hill wharf (highly recommended!) and a central bus line. The well-stocked grocery store between the tube and the flat made cooking fun and easy (and saved us so much money!) and the town of Wapping has everything you could want in easy walking distance - pubs, post office and beautiful river views. We never minded the walk from the tube to the flat and always enjoyed seeing the Tower, Tower Bridge and St. Katherine's Docks. Being close to many of the markets, shops and restaurants in the East End and Southwark was a great experience.

While I was initially concerned because there was only a washing machine and not a dryer, we found that laundry dried quickly on the drying racks that were provided. Everything else exceeded expectations and we were sad to leave. Recommended very highly!

PERFECT PLACE TO STAY!

I staryed in this terrific little place for five weeks with my husband over Christmas. I had been here the year before, and did not hesitate to book it again. It is perfect for a couple. The apartment is clean, the bed is very comfortable, and the kitchen is perfect. I managed to cook Pheasant in the oven for Christmas dinner, and we had a little table with chairs so we enjoyed the meal!.
The location is the best part for me. 10-15 minute walk to Tower Hill station, which is on the circle and district line, and you have a terrific view of Tower Bridge and the Tower of London on the way. The apartment is also a 25-30 minute walk along the Thames to Borough Markets, which is (in my opinion) one of the best food markets in London. I love this end of London, and it is perfectly safe, and full of terrific restaurants and pubs. It really is the only place I want to stay when I visit!

Wapping is on the edge of London's financial heart, the City, but even closer to the capital's most famous landmarks. The Tower of London and Tower Bridge are a short walk away and the nearby banks of the River Thames are dotted with some of Britain's oldest public houses. Charles Dickens set many of his novels in and around Wapping. River taxis stop here, taking visitors by boat east to Canary Wharf or west to the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. The nearest Tube stations are Tower Hill and Shadwell (DLR). Liverpool Street, with a fast service to Stansted Airport, is a short bus ride away. Both City Airport and the Excel exhibition centre are easily reached by DLR from Shadwell. Walking is easy too, and most of London's attractions, such as St Paul's Cathedral, the Tate Modern and the London Eye are a comfortable stroll away.
