Bright, modern apartment with garden, sleeps 2-4

Close to London's historic heart, this very popular modern apartment is a five-minute walk from the Tower of the London, the River Thames and many of London's top tourist attractions. It is on a quiet, private street, but just a few minutes walk from a large supermarket, local shops and post office, bars and restaurants. Tower Hill tube station is 8-10 minutes walk away and public transport links are very good. The apartment was recently refurbished to the highest standards with a wall-mounted foldaway double bed and a double sofa bed - ideal for 2 people, but still comfortable for 4. The living room is light and spacious with digital TV and DVD. The bathroom has under-floor heating, a powerful shower and hairdryer; the kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, oven, microwave and washing machine. The apartment has central heating and a garden with BBQ. All bedding is provided, as well as a welcome basket of groceries. We accept all credit and debit cards via Paypal.

Arrivals and departures: Check-in is after 12 noon and check-out is 10am.

To facilitate late/unpredictable arrivals there is a key safe at the property, and the secret code is provided once a secure booking has been made. This allows guests to access the property at their own convenience.

Calme et confort au coeur de Londres!

Nous n'avons pas vu Linda, mais les petits cadeaux de bienvenue nous ont ravies: des friandises variées, du lait de vache et de soja, du pain frais et des corn-flakes pour le petit-déjeuner du matin, des pâtes pour le repas du soir...il n'était plus urgent de faire les courses en arrivant (supermarché à 5 mn à pied) ... Pour trouver nous avons eu un peu de mal au départ, mais une fois le trajet par les quais repéré, la ballade entre le métro et l'appartement est devenue un plaisir quotidien: nous admirions les bateaux de plaisance, le Tower Bridge et la vue sur les tours modernes illuminées...jusqu'au quartier résidentiel tranquille. La literie est agréable même s'il s'agit d'un lit rabattable dans une armoire murale et d'un canapé convertible de type futon...les matelas sont épais et il ne manque aucun équipement ni dans la salle de bains ni dans la cuisine (à part un lave-vaisselle, mais nous n'étions que 2...). Les 4 jours minimum indiqués ne sont pas négociables (nous n'avons passé que 3 nuits, payé 4).

Very nice place

This was a very nice place, and the proprietor was very attentive and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had a great experience. Maybe a tick far from the underground station (Tower Hill) for some people, but it's a very interesting walk to get there. The nearby Waitrose grocery store was fabulous, and we took advantage of it a few nights to eat at the flat and save a £ or two.

In short, I would definitely book this place again!

Très interessante location près de Londres

Bien,j'ai pas réalisé et j'ai laissé un message en Anglais...! Nous sommes arrivés le soir par le métro à la station de Tower hill celle qui est la plus commode par la ligne " District line " nous arrivions de Gatwick par la gare Victoria. De la station de métro il faut compter environ 20 minutes de marche nous faisions le parcours tous les jours sauf pendant la période des visites du la " Tower Bridge " et " Tower of London " .. la plupart du temps nous marchions le long des Canaux très romantiques et très joli de la St Katharine Docks..Magnifique endroit ..Très bien sur tous les plans..Très chic ! Nous passions devant les restaurants des marinas avec les bateaux de luxe.. L'appartement est très confortable. La cuisine complète.Le lit se rabbat sur le mur pour donner de la place et la table est grande avec 4 chaises. Nous étions que deux et c'est très bien.. Il y a aussi un petit jardin...nous prenions le café dehors tranquillement l'après midi ...Nous avons adoré cet endroit.. Nous avions besoin d'un appartement tranquille pour nous reposer de nos longues marches quotidienne..(Oups j'oubliais il y a aussi un super marché "Waitrose " à coté à10minutes à pied où l'on trouvait de tout et même du pain ...!

Very nice apart in London

Hello..we have a good weather too and we are lucky with this appart. We had a good moment. All is good inside. Small kitchen and smal bathroom but all is good.. Wash machine , micro wave , oven and more..Coffee maker and so on..
on the picture you can see sofa and the bed is on the wall .. Table is small with 4 chairs. TV is good and also a small garden. The place is really good and smart with marina in the docklands..and we could visit on foot " tower bridge " tower of london which are near.. The underground Station is Tower Hill very near too about 20 minutes by walk and we choose all the time to walk on the riverside very interesting .. clear, and nice too.. We have contact with Misses Linda Galloway on phone and e mail and we were very glad to meet her. She is very kind. I wish you a good holydays in this rent.

Localización perfecta. Muy recomendable.

El estudio es pequeño, pero si tu prioridad es visitar Londres, más que suficiente. Nosotros éramos una pareja y dos niñas de doce. El espacio es equivalente a una habitación de hotel grande con cama supletoria, pero con una pequeña cocina muy bien equipada. El barrio es súper tranquilo y muy bonito, hay 15 minutos a pie, un bonito paseo por los muelles viendo el Tower Bridge, hasta el metro Tower Hill. Pasan dos lineas que te llevan a las principales zonas de Londres, District y Circle line, en 3-5 paradas, con buena combinación para otros transbordos.
La propietaria fue muy amable, nos permitió retrasar el check-out ya que ese día el apartamento estaba libre - según vi, el único - y el contacto con ella fue fácil y rápido. Por último, la relación calidad precio, fantástica.
Muy, muy recomendable. Si volvemos a Londres volveremos a alojarnos aquí.

Good things come in small packages

My granddaughter and I stayed in this flat for three weeks in July (2014). It's small, but the owner clearly indicates that in her description and it was more than adequate for my granddaughter and I. The surrounding area is very safe and convenient to all transportation (bus/tube/overground). There is also a fully stocked Waitrose supermarket only a 5 minute walk away. The close proximity to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge (approx. 10 min walk) was perfect for us - we visit the Tower 3 times!!
The flat is very clean and equipped with everything you need to make this your home away from home. Linda, the owner is lovely and quick to respond to requests or concerns. Additionally - the location is a quiet residential area away from the hustle and bustle which is great when you're tired after a long day of sightseeing.
This was our first time in London (it won't be my last......hopefully) and it was fabulous. Made more so by renting this flat together with the caring concern of Linda. Thank you Linda!
Would I rent this apartment again? In a heartbeat.
As an aside - the flat has approx. 16 narrow steps leading up to the door with a lip to step over into the main room, so it wouldn't work for folks with certain disabilities.
A tip: If you plan on visiting some of the palaces in London (i.e. The Tower of London, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace, Hampton Court Palace) purchase the Heritage Palaces Membership. The cost of it is small compared to what you will pay as an individual to visit each of the palaces separately. Check out the Heritage Palaces website for more information. Best thing I did!

Wapping is on the edge of London's financial heart, the City, but even closer to the capital's most famous landmarks. The Tower of London and Tower Bridge are a short walk away and the nearby banks of the River Thames are dotted with some of Britain's oldest public houses. Charles Dickens set many of his novels in and around Wapping. River taxis stop here, taking visitors by boat east to Canary Wharf or west to the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. The nearest Tube stations are Tower Hill and Shadwell (DLR). Liverpool Street, with a fast service to Stansted Airport, is a short bus ride away. Both City Airport and the Excel exhibition centre are easily reached by DLR from Shadwell. Walking is easy too, and most of London's attractions, such as St Paul's Cathedral, the Tate Modern and the London Eye are a comfortable stroll away.
