Traditional Maine camp nestled in wooded cove with 130 feet of frontage on pristine Green Lake. Spend your days swimming, kayaking or canoeing, fishing or just relaxing in the hammock or on the screened porch. Cook dinner in the full kitchen or grill lakeside at the picnic area. Fall asleep to the sounds of the loons and wake up to the sun glistening on the water through the bedroom window. A 15 minute drive brings you to the town of Ellsworth and it's wonderful shops and restaurants. The cabin is about a half hour from beautiful Acadia National Park on Mt. Desert Island and it's walking, hiking and biking trails and amazing vistas.

The camp is located about halfway between Bangor and Bar Harbor and close to many area attractions such as The Great Maine Lumberjack Show, the Bangor Folk Festival, Bangor children's Discovery Museum, lobster pounds, miniature golf, water slides, libraries (Ellsworth and Bangor), the Green Lake Fish Hatchery, Acadia Zoo, Acadia National Park, Fort Knox and public golf courses.

This Green Lake location is beautiful! We spent the week with 2 beautiful bald eagles and several pairs of Loons. The kayaking and swimming were great and we took several day trips to Acadia. Unfortunately, the cabin was rather dirty when we arrived so I had to spend a few hours cleaning and sweeping. Some of the screens were also torn so, unless you kept all of the lights off in the evening, the cabin was full of insect life. The bathroom was small and rustic as was the rest of the cabin but If you love the outdoors and don't mind sharing your vacation space with the local insects, you'll have a wonderful time!
(FYI - no DVD or CD player as stated in Amenities section. No big deal but FYI. The hammock and screen porch are great!)
