We will treat you like family, so you too will want to come back time and time again.
We have stayed here every summer for three years in a row and as long as we vacation in the Bar Harbor area we will continue to rent the Barrett Log Cabin. The cabin and property are beautiful with plenty of living and sleeping space and property for the kids to play and run. The porch is amazing and we loved the camp fires at night. It's located close to downtown Bar Harbor and the park and the beaches. Also the free LL Bean bus will pick you up at the end of the road so you don't have to drive if you choose not too. The manager/owner is very friendly and responsive if you need anything!!! I have done my research both on-line and from looking around the area once we arrived and you will not find a place better!! Barrett log cabin is super cozy and clean. The cabin is minutes away from Acadia entrance and Bar Harbor downtown; however, you still feel secluded at the cabin. I love the wrap around covered porch, and I very much enjoyed drinking my morning coffee there. This was our second stay at Barrett log cabin, and I hope to stay again.
I am Uber Enthusiastic about this Log Home! Don't hesitate if you want to book this. It is just as immaculate as everyone says in the reviews. You feel like your on Vacation in this beautiful home with the smell of cedar when you walk in and Recessed lighting all over illuminating the lovely impressive 2 story fireplace. Kitchen is big with a nice table and nice appliances, everything and more than you expect! Spacious BR's with Nice Linens and Bedding. Lots of closet space. TV in Master BR and LR. Bathrooms spacious with granite countertops and cedar walls. Wrap around porch with table and chairs and lots of Adirondacks chairs to enjoy your cup of coffee in the am. The home is located on over 2 acres in a forested development so you will definitely sleep soundly oppose to staying in town at the harbor with all the action. If we made dinner plans we would leave the house 15 minutes before to arrive at the restaurant in town. It is close to the Hulls Cove entrance of Acadia where we went for walks every morning with our little dogs Yogi and Cooper. Acadia is beautiful with the water views and ponds and lakes throughout. They loved it and said it was their best vacation ever! Greg is great and helpful if needed! Leaves a note off helpful information for your stay of where to go for things etc...If you want to go biking go the Bike Shop at West and Cottage and ask for a map they have them of the easier trails! The carriage road at Hull's Cove is a dewsy! Favorite Breakfast spot Udder Heaven near the house. Favorite lunch spot - Stewmans Baby Lobster Pound for the view and good food by the Holiday Inn and Dinner at McKays or Blaze.
My family and I had a great time during our week long stay at the cabin. The cabin is immaculate and cozy, the owner was a pleasure to deal with, and the location was great - only a few miles from downtown and the entrance to Acadia. We had 6 people in our group, plus a large dog and we had plenty of room. This was our first time renting, and we would definitely stay here again.
this is the cleanest rental i have ever stayed in, it lived up to all of our expectations.
the only down side was that we could not get on to the internet, but then that may not be that bad after all.
The cabin is very comfortable, well maintained, and in a good location to explore the island. Our family had a great time celebrating my father's retirement in Bar Harbor. There were 7 adults, 2 young children, and 1 friendly dog in our group. There was plenty of room in the cabin. We loved the kitchen and the wrap around porch was fantastic!
The Moore family was a fabulous host. Very helpful and friendly!
We look forward to returning to Bar Harbor and will definitely stay here again! We've already recommended it to 5 other families!
