This wonderfully appointed modern one-story town home in Albuquerque's famous Old Town district features quiet, elegant beauty. Take a stroll to scenic Old Town plaza, with its centuries-old architecture and the museum district. This area offers a fascinating array of galleries, unique shops and fine restaurants. Convenient to I-40 and less than 10 minutes from the airport, but nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Property includes two master bedrooms, each with a dedicated bath, living room with fireplace and comfortable dining area. Modern kitchen includes full-sized stove/oven, dishwasher and microwave. Washer/dryer, too. This home features an artfully decorated 1,200 sq. feet of living space and has an attached one-car garage with automatic garage door opener. It's great for mid-size or smaller cars. If you are driving something larger, you'll want to make use if any of the numerous parking areas scattered throughout our little community. On-street parking is not allowed.

Enjoy the private atrium off the living room and the sunny back patio.

My partners and I decided we would purchase a home and furnish it just for folks coming to vacation in Albuquerque. We had such a good response that we have since purchased two other homes in the same town house community (listing #'s 134421 and 200716). New Mexico is such a great place to live that we were excited to share to others.

Super Nice, Great Location

..We came to New Mexico to escape the cold Michigan winter....Robert was wonderful to work with, very helpful. The townhouse was perfect, had a sweet Southwest atmosphere with a quaint fireplace, two full baths, two outdoor patios,comfortable furniture, very nice, even better than pictured.
...We had an extraordinary time staying so close to Old Town, we stayed in February off season, the shops were not overly busy and it was very easy to park and get around town. The restaurants were outstanding..very cozy.
...We took a ride up to Santa Fe took the Turquoise Trail which was worth the trip in it's self. Santa Fe has a lot to offer but our heart is in Old Town.
...The ride up Route 66 in the Nob Hill area offers friendly antique shops....very cool. Thanks again Robert and we hope to come back soon!

Misrepresented and poorly maintained.

Home Away Rental 180129 in Albuquerque NM is blatantly misrepresnted. The outstanding reviews that are posted are either totally fraudalent or are reviews of another one of Robert's rentals. The picture of the outside of the unit shows a completely different section of the complex. It is not a picture of Rental 180129. The unit has no vegetation inside or out and the front bedroom window and garage door are literally on the street. I had the feeling I was living on a very unattractive back alley, The interior was dirty, dirty and dirty. There was a quarter inch of dust under the beds, coating the ceiling fans, the microwave vents and the air vents. The carpet and dining room chairs were stained. The oven needed to be cleaned and more. We rented the unit for all of August 2014 to be in town to support my elderly parents while my brother took a respite . We had no place else to go so we cleaned.

The listing was inaccurate, the property was dirty and poorly maintained, and I would NOT recommend this property to a friend. The location in Albuquerque across the street from Old Town and close to the Bosque Bike Path was nice.

Owner's Response: We are surprised and disappointed by this review. We don't agree with the rating and suspect that neither do any of the 55 other reviewers who gave us an average 5-star rating on this home.

Polly is right that the picture does not show the actual property. It shows a general view of the town house community instead. We did this for security purposes, but will shortly post a picture of the home so folks know exactly what to expect.

Had Polly notified us of any problems or disappointments during her stay, we would have addressed them immediately. In the written evaluation form that we ask all our guests to complete before they leave, she noted that the exterior light and a set of vertical blinds were broken. Both were replaced before the next guest entered the property. Had she let us know when she discovered the problems, we would have made immediate repairs.

Had she told us she was disappointed with the cleaning, we would have dispatched one of our cleaning folks to meet with her and clean any areas she felt needed attention. We tried spot cleaning some carpet stains in the short time we had between guests, but they did not come all the way out. We had the carpets professionally cleaned right after her departure.

We are very proud of our homes and the reviews we receive from our guests. I expect that future reviews of this property will demonstrate that we are quite deserving of our 5-star rating.

Wonderful time was had by all

Beautifully maintained home. Clean and fresh. Fully equipped with everything we needed, down to Kleenex. Robert very helpful. Local information of what to do was helpful. Many patio areas to enjoy outdoors. Nirvana spa is a must do! Orsteria restaurant fabulous Italian food. Close to grocery store and pharmacy. When wifi wouldn't connect quick call to Robert and all was well. Grill didn't work. Told him at end of visit me he said we should have contacted him and he would have put a new one in. We didn't find a need to grill again so chose not to bother him. Was taken care of by the time the new guests arrived. Plenty of space for all of us to enjoy without being crowded. Beautiful artwork throughout the home, loved our time there.

Wonderful time was had by all!

Home was very clean, fresh and fully appointed! Robert was very easy to work with. Answered our questions immediately. Wifi was greatly appreciated and helped us connect. Grill didn't work the 2nd night but it didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves. Robert would have replaced immediately if he had know. Home in quiet neighborhood near old town. Sunsets great. Wonderful outdoor space. Plenty of room for the 4 of us. He even had toiletries available. My girlfriend was tickled that there was Kleenex there also. Never in each other's way. Laundry soap also supplied-very handy. Grocery stores in neighborhood as well as pharmacy. Bedroom nicely dark for ease of sleeping. Would love to stay again if we are in the area again. It was our pleasure to stay at your beautiful home. Thank you!

Our Stay in Albuquerque

We got into Albuquerque on Monday one day later than we had hoped for, but once we got there we entered through the garage which is very small, and I have a large SUV. So if you have a bigger car it won't fit in this garage. But lucky for us there was additional parking right next to the townhouse in the vacant lot. Not sure if we were supposed to park there, but at any given time the parking area right across was always full. The house itself was great inside, I like that the rooms were far away from each other, and that gave a lot of privacy. The only thing I could suggest was that there could of been more seating around, like bar stools would of been nice since we did invite over some family members to eat dinner with us. Then later trying to sit in the living room with everyone was kind of tough. But over all it was a nice place to be because we were able to walk to Old Town on Christmas Eve and surrounding places to eat. We will conceder this rental again next year for sure!!

Great location, great property

We rented the property because a group of us were coming to Albuquerque for the Balloon Fiesta. It was 10 minutes away from the Fiesta and walking distance to Old Town. The layout of the property was nice with a two big bedrooms at opposite sides of the townhouse. It had a large Living Room/Dining Room Area and a nice kitchen. There was a patio off one of the large bedrooms and a small patio area off of the Living Room. The property was well maintained, very comfortable, and quiet. It had a washer/dryer off in a small room off of the kitchen. The property had Wi Fi and a nice television with a great selection of channels. I would have no problem recommending this property and should we go back to Albuquerque we will check for this properties availability.

Ski: Take the scenic Sandia Peak Tramway (the world's longest; about 10 miles away) and ride to the top of Sandia peak for a day of great family skiing. --- Want more? --- Ski Sante Fe (about an hour's drive), visit Taos, Angel Fire or Red River (about 3 hours north) or Ski Apache (about 2 hours south). New Mexico offers some of the best skiing in the country, but don't tell everyone, we like to keep it a secret!
